Venetian/Palazzo RESCINDING offers that have already been booked!!!

I was on the verge of calling my host at Caesars last week and playing up the my birthday is Friday angle and seeing if I could get a really great room for the weekend. His days off are Tues & Weds though.

I am going to call him tomorrow before I get on the plane though
again, I don't have any problem with V/P cutting back on the comps, but to 1) contact me and offer the comp after all of the offers disappeared and then 2) rescind the comp 24 hours before my arrival is a total bitch move.

Wow, that totally sucks what V/P has done to you Karen.

Glad to see the Evil Empire was able to accomodate.

Have a GREAT time, and maybe leave a tiny fraction behind, for Jenaphir!!

Dave

So I guess it *pays* to double book if one of your comps is the V/P.
Glad you have somewhere else to stay. It should be illegal to rescind an offer this close to arrival.
If V/P canceled your reservation less than 24 hours before your scheduled arrival does that mean you can send them a bill for one nights room charges? If you had canceled less than 24 hours before arrival the V/P would have billed you for one night. Anyway, try and forget their loathe some ways and enjoy your trip. Good luck!
Karen, that was, as folks said, a real bitch move. Sounds as if V/P wish they weren't casinos -- well, should have thought of that before they were built. Two giant casinos on the strip that no longer wish they were casinos. Wynn must be loving this.

Illegal is exactly right.
Where the hell is Anthony Curtis on this issue-he should bring it to the attention of all LV print and broadcast media NOW.

I believe there could be an estopple issues because of the lateness of the cancelation. Damages would potentially be cost of replacement accommodations and any other thing they offered you to induce you to take the trip, and that you relied upon receiving when booking your trip. Generally speaking pain and suffering would not be available in this type of case.
If you just want emotional satisfaction you could try filing free complaints at:
