well, to be fair, my 2008 and 2009 coin in approached 200K but last year, pretty much nothing. I take exception to them letting this guy contact me and offer me a comped room in the first place after they had already wiped out all of the offers. I would not be upset at all if they had just take away all of my offers because I hadn't played there in a while

And don't forget the point that Karen is actually one of the lucky ones who could come up with another nice comped room in 3 minutes. I imagine there are alot of folks who have budgeted their trip around a comped room, because they have a confirmation, who would NOT be able to find another comped room literally the night before their trip. And as Blonde said earlier in the post, most of us understand the cost of the trip when booking, and prepare our budget accordingly. Talk about starting the trip on a downer. Wonder how many comped offers they are refusing upon arrival.

It's the principle.

The thought crossed my mind to wander by there and eavesdrop in the vicinity of their invited guest line. But since I have vowed to never darken their doorstep again as long as I draw breath, I guess I won't

well see, according to some people in this thread, the fact that she could get another room comped in three minutes is why the venetian cancelled her reservation to begin with. you know, because she should play only at the venetian and since she didnt, she didnt play enough to get comped.

With so many fewer invited guests to worry about, I'm sure many of these employees won't be working there much longer.

Reduction in staff has been occurring right along, including my mini-host, who was either let go or reassigned to a desk. Yet in a sense, those employees who keep jobs may eventually find their new customers more easily satisfied than those of us who are more into value and/or somewhat spoiled by the old comp system.

Most Vegas hotels have cut back on staff 'right along' based upon lower overall visitation. This new policy of not comping the mid tier gambler is new as of January. I imagine they will be dealing with thousands fewer invited guests...if not tens of thousands. As soon as they've called all the guests to cancel thier booked comps I bet there will be a blood bath of layoffs in the Player Marketing area.

OMG Karen, you could be our on-the-ground stealth reporter! But...Vacation time is ubber-valuable, so I wouldn't blame you for not crossing the street to give them the time of day.

Me - I'm one of the folks who gets an instant migrane from that SMELL at the V, so I've only played there once and never stayed there. I get non-stop emails from them, every single day, offering $129/night.

And jenaphir.....LOL. Guess there's a good reason many of us play at multiple props.
