Many new hosts at properties go trolling through the past year's data to find clients who once were good players but who have dropped off their play, and contact them to generate a players list for themselves. They have little clout with the property mgt and sometimes don't get the "word" on new policies as quickly or don't do the req. due diligence. They usually don't stay very long. I remember there was a big shake up in Casino Services and Player Development at Palazzo/Venetian around 1.5 years ago when I was contacted by someone saying she was now going to be my new host--I asked what about my old experienced host that I had been using for the past 5 years? She said he was still part of the newly organized "team" but she was the point of contact now. I still contacted and made reservations through my old host who responded as usual to my requests, and he is still there, while the other newbie host is long gone. I found one host who used to be at P/V now working at Aria. There is likely to be a mass exodus in Player Development--now an oxymoron at Palazzo/Venetion.
