Well, Bob. Im sure that the lower level games are profitable. And those conventioneers who are paying top prices for those rooms and hotel meals probably will play those profitable lower level games. So LVS will win with the higher room rates and with the hold on the games.
Now, from your post it is clear that you are more upset about LVS rescinding "booked and confirmed comped offers." Again, I dont disagree-- it was a bad move. Im discussing the LVS strategy in a very competitive Vegas hotel/casino market.
Cancelling the offers on short notice was bad. Changing their strategy just might be a very smart move for this company.
