Virgin Mobile plan to offer prepaid iPhone plan

This would be great! I've completed my 2 year requirement w/ AT & T using an iPhone paying almost $100 a month for service. I'd sign up with VM depending on its monthly fee, their cheapest plan starts at $35 a month then goes up to $45, and $55 a month. Even at $55 that's half what I currently pay. I'm curious how much the iPhone will also sell for the phone itself.
VM has been advertising in SE Florida. $35.00/month unlimited 4G data & talk.

Heard it for the first time last night, not certain of the details.

Virgin will require its customers to pay the iPhone's full retail cost. That's a whopping $649 for the 16 GB iPhone 4S and $549 for the year-old iPhone 4.
sounds interesting. I have a virgin mobile phone, don't have monthly charges. I do pay $20 top up every 3 months for 120 minutes. I don't use the phone much and don't give my number out so I don't spend a lot of time on it. Was mostly to talk with my mom, who was on another island, emergencies and when I travel. Mom moved back to oahu and so I don't have to call her to talk story (but that means that I have to go visit her once and a while, lol, would rather talk to her on the phone once a month, lol).

funny, the people I know who have iphones I see playing games on it mostly.

nah, I'm antisocial, don't want to be contacted. I have an answering machine at home, I never pick up my home phone anymore (too many solicitors and poll takers). Basically I got the cel phone in case of emergencies and when I travel. Other than that I don't use it much. My work wanted my cel number in case of emergencies, I told them they can have my number when they pay for my phone and my monthly bill.
