"any members who cannot refrain themselves from conductimg themselves in an adult manner". Who no matter what,continue to embarrass themselves and actually think they are "schooling" each other in a public forum.They dont realize just how moronic and pathetic they actually come across. Who,no matter what they've been told,keep fighting over the "letter" of a rule,and FLAGRANTLY violate the spirit of said rule.

Actually the mantra of the forum should just state "PLAY NICE with others!!!" sOUNDS LIKE INSTRUCTIONS TO A 1ST GRADE CLASSROOM.rIGHT? sHEESH,HOW f'N DIFFICULT IS THAT?

I cant imagine what a newbie would think if coming across this behavior on a first time visit.

In these 'charged political times' almost any thread can go 'political'. Sometimes it's nearly impossible to resist....especially when you perceive 'the other side' is getting a jab it. The real 'spirt' of the rule is probably more like 'please don't discuss politics here'. Adults can choose to ignore that or abide by it....but there should be consequences for ignoring it. We'll see....it's like some kind of a cycle....imagine that.

Trust me I know how it looks. For weeks I just ignored his constant personal attacks and insults. Unfortunately, that only emboldened him more. He attacked one of the nicest, and most non-confrontational people here in that Trump thread.(not me)

No. The problem isn't the political threads. The problems is some people can't behave and the political threads just bring that to the surface.

Now people fight about whether or not the thread is political in nature or not.

DonDiego cautions all LVA associates that requesting a vote can result in consequences which one does not anticipate.

The result of the last actual vote which DonDiego recalls on LVA was that DonDiego himself was named "Sexiest Person on LVA".
Surprisingly, there was no public outrage or demand for a recount.

(Nothing within this post is intended to be political. As always poor old DonDiego defers to the wisdom of Odysseus in any final judgement on this matter and will endure any punishment Odysseus deems appropriate.)

Not sure this was directed at me but I'll answer it. I have no problem with him disagreeing with me about anything. What I have a problem with is his constant issuing of personal insults and degrading people.

He just jumps in any thread in which he disagrees with the premise being put forth and spews a bunch of bile directed at the O.P. and not the subject of the thread so the thread gets shut down. You can look at threads from years ago and see him doing the same thing over and over again.
