Voter IDs

But lazy people with driver licenses get to vote, and lazy people without driver licenses don't. Any voting system that favors one demographic over another, just to eliminate the 30 cases of voter impersonation out of the last billion, is un-American.

Funny. They have the ability to go to the polling place, but they can't go and get a photo ID, even though there would be offers to drive them there. If they aren't willing to get a proper ID then they shouldn't vote. They should also take a look at countries like Afghanistan where people wait hours to vote under the threat of violence from the Taliban.
Amen Roulette, amen.

I guess billy isn't as smart as he claims to be

Except to get a non drivers ID in NY, you must present photo ID to prove who you are.
There is a twenty point system that you must meet. Without a state issued ID or a valid passport it isn't as easy, and still would have involved taking a day off to do it.

Once a liar, always a liar.

I didn't research every state on the map, but on the surface it would appear that every state has a non-driver's ID available:

So to prevent a repeat of the horrors of voter impersonation, which has ben documented in 30 out of the last billion votes cast:

1. Someone with a driver license just votes.

2. Someone without a driver license:
  • gets to take the time and expense of sending away for a copy of their birth certificate,
  • if they changed their name, gets to take the time and expense of getting a copy of their marriage license,
  • gets to travel to and spend time on lines at the local DMV (FUN!).

So which demographic is more likely to vote? Any voting system that favors one demographic over another is un-American.

Then she doesn't vote. If voting doesn't mean enough to her to go out of her way to get things squared away, then she shouldn't vote. People have it much tougher in other countries and they find a way to vote.
Tough fucking luck. Prove your identity, or don't vote. Why are most Liberals such losers?

Other than the waste of money - since voter impersonation is basically unheard of - I don't have a problem. But if it puts additional hurdles in front of people who don't drive cars, it's un-American.

How do they get to a dr appt. then?Or the grocery store? How about the local soc. sec. office? or WIC office? or the multitude of other places people need to go on a regular basis? Ebery single city has some sort of public transit.
What about people who need dialyisis? Try getting a chair w/o some sort of ID(and some type of insurance), they evn provide rides to those in need.

The whole hurdle thing is pure bullshit IMO. How about this forky, would you be willing to go help all those people w/o ID go get one if you had a van provided? Or are all these people only good for the moment when the hill needs them? Don't you care about helping them long term at all, or is it just 'til next election?

    I thought so
Sadly, the whole ID debate isn't about helping to keep legitimate voters voting, it's about keeping non entitled people voting.
