VP odds question, hitting a royal?

You were the one who stated the RF would be 100% of the return. Thats impossible, so why bother with it. Theres a huge difference between saying you will go for the Royal every hand and saying the RF is the only possible payout.

The entire discussion is pretty much meaningless? This is a message board and much of what is discussed is meaningless.

As for the "huge difference" you alude to ... well, why in the world would anyone go for a RF on every hand if there were other payouts? Ok, a few nut-jobs might try it but basically it's a nonsense proposition.
I'm still waiting to hit Royal #1 in my career and I know I've played well over 40K hands....and I have all the training software/books/etc.

I've convinced myself that I'm due - probably a sentiment shared at one time or another by every homeless VP player you find downtown.
Can we return to the basic question, please? The Wizard of Odds says "If your strategy were to maximize the number of royals at all costs then you would hit a royal once every 23081 hands." Given a standard paytable, how big would the progressive royal have to be to justify this "go for the royal" strategy?

Most of the progressive royals for DDB that Ive seen have a 9/5 paytable but Aria has a 9/6 with its progressive.

thanks.
On a $1 JoB machine the math says to go for the royal at all times whenever the royal pays $50 million or more

In our private VP Jokes... We talked about braking up KKKKA and going for the royal... AAAAK would still be at least 800 points in a tournament, don't think that is worth breaking up...
Private VP jokes?

Use the F. Rizzo strategy. 100 play penny machine. It worked for me.

It's Karma dude!

I've hit 7 royals playing single line 25 cent games and 5 of those were progressives...
