I did not hear it from someones sister that heard it from her mother in law who heard it from her son's best friend.

I heard it from the slot attendant at the Von's who told me she personally witnessed it, I did not hear it 4th or 5th hand as some of the dumb dumb's ITT are speculating. I used to play there a lot a few years ago and I don't know why the lady would make something like that up. That slot attendant has been there the whole 9 years i've been going to that Von's.

The reason there is a warning on the machine that says "Malfunction voids ALL PAYS and PLAYS" is for instances like a 5th deuce or double card coming up.

Machine malfunctions do happen, they might not happen often but they definitely do happen.

I could tell about the time 2 years ago my friend had won $5 in FP at Suncoast after cashing his check. He went to the slot club booth to have them add it to his card so he could play it in a VP machine.

After they add it he goes to a game king machine, puts his card in and as he's about to download the $5, lo and behold he has $50,000 in FREEPLAY!! So instead of $5 he has $50,000 on his frigging card!

There is no way that the slot attendant put it on his card by mistake because I personally went to The Orleans after they left my house and asked at the slot both what the max amount of FP they could put on a players card. The lady told me $500 was the max, anything higher then that they had to call a supervisor over to authorize. The only reasons why I believed them was because they called and woke me up screaming in to the phone "oh my god King you are not going to believe this", then him and his GF came to my house freaking out, both shaking like a leaf, sporting a few thousand in cash and showed me the pics on his cell phone.

I could tell the rest of the story if anyone is interested.

But yes, malfunctions do happen.

And yes, there are machine malfunctions. I wrote about this one before:

Playing some deuces wild bonus game (I dont remember the exact title) I was dealt 55552 which paid 800 coins vs the 20 coins that 4oak pays.

I held all five cards, and pointed it out to the player next to me.

When I hit the draw button, the DEUCE dropped off the screen and the pay showed 20 coins and not 800 coins. I YELLED FOR AN ATTENDANT.

The attendant called a manager, who called in a tech, and they opened the machine, played back the hand on the computer and indeed it showed I was dealt 55552 and they paid me the 800. By the way, that was at Mandalay Bay at least five years ago.

and King regarding the other malfunction with the free play: if true (and I dont doubt you) its a different kind of malfunction, not related to how VP games work.

I don't know why she would make something like that up but whatever not a big deal.

I've had buttons stick before. Dealt 3 OAK, the machine doesn't hold all 3 cards and the 1st card out would make the 4 OAK. Got paid when that happened with no problem. I was playing in a local bar, bartender called up E.T.T, guy showed up and asked me what happened. I told him the machine didn't hold my 3 card and I would of had a 4 OAK. He said no problem, said it happens often at the bars cause of drinks being spilled on the machines, filled out some paperwork, and then just paid me without even opening the machine!

But how long ago? Any machine that currently allows for five of a kind is not just malfunctioning but is illegal. If this happens to you and the casino refuses to pay, call in gaming control to report a machine with an illegal chip.

All it takes for an error like 5 deuces to happen is for a hardware glitch of some kind. For example, the software might be using a compare instruction to determine if the card chosen by the RNG was already dealt. If the compare instruction fails to work properly the software wold think the card is perfectly valid and display it. Yes, this is a malfunction and certainly possible, though highly unlikely.

In fact, it could happen more often than we think but we don't notice it because the situation doesn't make it obvious.

I hold all 5 also. I've seen it where someone got dealt 4 Aces, and didn't hold all 5 and the 5th Ace popped up!

MALFUNCTION VOIDS ANY PAYOFFS!

2: To increase my hands played per hour. I also hit a button to stop the pays and get the score at once. As pretty as the sound of credits being racked up is, I still find the noise annoying. :::shrug:::


I found out that by hitting the deal button when the machine is paying off takes you to a full payout right away.
