Warning to those headed to Henderson, NV casinos...

So your argument is that he was not a danger to himself or anyone around him? And yes the fifth kick accomplished him being handcuffed, which the fourth kick did not. A sixth kick would've certainly been excessive because the officers were able to handcuff after the fifth.
At least on this thread the outrage is about the physical actions of the police and not the fact that they used some naughty words

You're engaging in a circular argument.
After finally watching the video linked, I can not offer my unbiased opinion.

I "see" four officers almost in control of the "suspect", when the fifth, (a coporal?) provided his "assistance" by shouting "Stop resisting, Mother F%^ker" and kicking the suspect 5 times, while the suspect was on the ground and almost under control. The assistance of those kicks was, IMHO, unneccessary.

As for the laughing, I do not know what "caused" the laughter. The tape skipped ahead, and did not include the moments before the laughter, so I do not know if the laughter was about the kicking, or in response to a "joke" by another officer. That portion of the tape, to me, was out of context.

The violence of the kicking portion is just wrong. Especially since the kicker was a corporal, and only outranked by the sargeant who initialized the stop. This man is going, or should I now say, "was" moving up in the ranks and possibly a supervisor or soon to be one. His example is worthy of his termination, or severe reprimand.

The laughing? I have to reserve judgement on that. Just missing too much info to know the exact reason. But, regardless, it was not "right"

JMHO

Snidely,
Not at all. And I wasn't being a wise guy. It seemed like you were saying he wasn't a danger to himself or anyone around him. Was just trying to clarify. I was just debating, civily, a very subjective topic. I'd be glad to debate it more, civily of course. Although it's such a subjective topic that we'll probably never agree. I haven't read the outcome of the case yet, but I would guess the officers involved were not charged criminally and were indemnified by their department. Is that correct?

Not charged criminally but one of them was disciplined.

Henderson NV, Sgt. Brett Seekatz was disciplined after he was caught on tape beating a man who police pulled over in 2010.

The suspect was a danger to others while he was behind the wheel. Once out of the car and on the ground he was in more danger from the police than from himself. He needed a doctor, not an ass-kicking.

And how were they to determine that in a split second?
It wasn't excessive force because the dude had tattoos

Because he wasn't threatening the police or acting aggressively.
