Not really.

His followers were not delusional? I have to disagree with you on that.

They may be rational by your standards, not mine.

Well, first you were speaking in the abstract, "the next perverted lunatic..." Now you refer to "his followers," so it's hard to really understand what you're saying.

But people have been "programmed" for millions of years, and it was, in fact, ESSENTIAL to the survival of our species. So to refer to this ancient, inborn portion of our psyches as a disease is rather presumptuous, in my opinion. The reason we have it is because people who had it survived.

I do believe that persons who abuse others using such methods should be treated as criminals. But to denigrate those who were abused is inappropriate. Stupid, probably. Insane, probably not. Just my opinion.

Which is more rational, a diety you can see, or one you can't?

mrmarcus12lva- remember, be careful when you try to explain rational thinking to the irrational. Do not take it personally when you finally accept the fact that they just don't get it. "Talk sense to a fool and they call you foolish".

Wow, getting deep, unnecessarily deep. So oddly and unnecessarily deep that you are having some problems understanding a very simple concept.

Is my original post really "hard to understand"? Read slowly, I bet you get it.

These seem to come around every few years, sad.

I'm glad this guy is going away, start the countdown for the next perverted lunatic with delusional followers.

Not that complex.
Um, so I guess what you're saying is that you're capable of providing psychiatric evaluations of abused people you've never even SEEN in person, much less interviewed? Is "delusional" one of your favorite diagnoses, by any chance?

In my opinion any parent that allows an adult to have sex with their minor children is fucked up. You want to give them the benefit of the doubt? You're a bigger man than I. You really are making this more complicated than it is. The parents that prostituted their children for Micheal Jackson's money were fucked up, and the parents that prostituted their children for religious reasons are fucked up.

See the trend? Don't let adults have sex with your little kids. If you want to argue about that, you need more help than I have to offer.
