Was It THAT Easy?

As I'm sure you must know already, the Powerball jackpot got hit last night......by 3 people!!! When I first looked at the numbers, I wondered how three people could have had these same numbers as they were pretty random and contained the last two numbers that you could pick for the main numbers.

Now I take a look at what other prizes were won in California and Calif. only. There were Text9 winners of about a quarter of a million dollars. Naturally, this doesn't include other states where players might have hit 5 out of 5! Sure seems like an awful lot of winner for those "lousy" numbers!

I'll say "lousy" numbers.

I had two tickets (a Quick-Pick, and one with special B'Day #'s),
and out of the 12 numbers on those two tickets (all different numbers),
I had only one of the winning numbers

............. and that's exactly why I'm here at work today

Rick
The winning numbers were 5-25-30-58-59 and 32.

Officials announced that two winning tickets were sold in New Jersey & one in Minnesota for the $448 million jackpot.

I'm going to take the $2.00 I saved by forgetting to purchase a ticket, and go out to lunch.

I knew I should've never left New Jersey!

well when you purchase a "chance" ticket. It is just that "chance". Not sure how you can say they are lousy numbers? Maybe not the numbers you play obviously but hey they worked. I would take lousy numbers like that for every drawing.

................. because they were "lousy numbers" for the millions and millions who played the game.

I didn't get it either. I kept looking at them trying to figure out a connection to something bad of some sort.
I do however see a pattern.

5 & 25 =30
58 & 59 are consecutive
There are 3 #'s in the first part and 2 in the second for 32

Apophenia: the experience of seeing meaningful patterns or connections in random or meaningless data.
