I have never kept close track to this but I swear that when you hold three of a kind and do not make it the card you needed is always dealt on the next hand.

So you hold 10C, 10H, 10S and get 2S and 5C. On you next hand on the deal the 10D will be one of the cards, almost like they are proving to you that the card is in the deck.
