We created Lyft to be a model for the type of community we want our world to be: diverse, inclusive, and safe.

This weekend, Trump closed the country's borders to refugees, immigrants, and even documented residents from around the world based on their country of origin. Banning people of a particular faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity, from entering the U.S. is antithetical to both Lyft's and our nation's core values. We stand firmly against these actions, and will not be silent on issues that threaten the values of our community.

We know this directly impacts many of our community members, their families, and friends. We stand with you, and are donating $1,000,000 over the next four years to the ACLU to defend our constitution. Trump CAN see the forest for the trees, while libs are having trouble seeing the tree, much less recognizing what a tree is.

Does cliff remember that Obama had a 6 month ban on iraqi refugees?

The President did not do this. There is no mention of faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity in the President's Executive Order.

DonDiego does not recall major orchestrated objections to the travel restrictions placed upon the seven aforementioned countries when The Obama diid so. Not to mention all the tears and wailing.

For the record DonDiego has no objection to Lyft doing whatever they choose to do within their "community" or to whom they donate contributions, . . . no matter how ill-founded their reasons.

I'll say it again. Being liberal is not a bad thing. Liberal viewpoints are needed to keep the pure conservative in check. In a perfect world one would feel with their heart and think with their brain. Unfortunately most try to think with their heart which ALWAYS ends up doing bad instead of good. OR, they only use their brain with no feeling which creates a disconnect from compassion.

Do these morons ever study history? We've never had open borders welcoming everyone. Many people spent months on Ellis island secured in barracks only to be returned to their home countries. Asians were completely banned from entering this country in the early 1900's. Oh and don't forget what the greatest democrat of all did to Japanese Americans during WW2.
