Well that didn't take long. Kim Kardashian files for divorce.

As the E channel is still showing reruns of Kim Kardashian's wedding shows this past weekend, her husband was served with divorce papers. If you watched this special, you will see that Humphries was way out of his league. He wanted a hamburger stand at the reception, and was expecting Kim to come live with him in his small house in Minnesota, along with changing her last name to Humphries. In fairness to Kim, Kris Humphries just doesn't seem that refined in the social world.

BTW on that wedding show, Rob Kardashian exposed himself a huge binge eater. He went with Scott to Taco Bell and ordered 4 super burritos, a 12 pack of tacos, nachos with extra cheese, and 6 churros. Holy smokes. No wonder why he put on 30 extra pounds so quickly.

The couple’s recent issues played out in the tabloid world and culminated with Kardashian filing for divorce after 72 days of marriage.

Humphries, a free-agent forward who played for the New Jersey Nets a season ago, married Kardashian in a lavish, made-for-reality-TV wedding on Aug. 20 in California. As the Nets planned to move into a brand new Brooklyn arena for the 2012-13 season, his relationship with Kardashian appealed to the franchise’s business and marketing side.

Kardashian lent some sort of celebrity status to the franchise’s courtside seats, but that was never going to influence the Nets’ basketball officials on how they worked to re-sign him. Nets management does have interest in bringing back Humphries, but purely based on his market value for rebounding and defense.

TMZ reported that Kardashian filed for divorce on Monday morning, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

I think the wedding cost millions, but I don't know if one dime came from Kim or her mother? It is my understanding that various sponsors were tripping over themselves to be able to sponsor part of the wedding. Kim had three different dresses from Vera Wang for the wedding and reception. I was actually impressed with Kim in her wedding planning. She seemed much more mature than Kris. Kris, just doesn't have the social background and seemed clueless when it comes to dealing with higher society. Kim makes over 6 million a year with her businesses and Kris Humphries is bouncing around from team to team in the NBA. For Kris Humphries to expect her to give all of that up, is naive.

You would think that two mature adults would be able to discuss things before they got married. Hard to tell if Kris is an idiot or just made to look like one on TV but how did he not know Kim was married previously? I knew that and I'm not dating her.

I figured it would last until November 26...the day before "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" premieres. I didn't know about Kris Jenner's book debuting today though. Soooo...once again, the promotional genius that calls herself Kris Jenner strikes again! Her book will sell oodles more copies because of this news. She should be teaching marketing at Harvard.

The good news for Kris Humphries: he will be saved from the inevitable name change to "Kardashian."

Meanwhile...gays still cannot marry. Two publicity whore douchebags (or just plain old whores...or plain old douchebags) can tie the knot with no intention of keeping the vows, but gay couples who have every intention of keeping their vows can't do the same.

I wish the whole clan would just go away, but I'm afraid we're stuck with them for the next decade or so. Kendall is 15, so should be releasing (ooops!..."leaking") her first sex tape around 2014.

Ugh.

I saw on CNBC that they,or someone,spent ten million bucks on the wedding. I thought i didnt hear it right,but my son heard it also. We were in shock when we heard that. I mean really,how in the hell can you spend that much?. Oh well,i could care less as dont even know who she is or her claim to fame. Btw,what is her popularity?

Estimates range from 10-18 million on what they actually profited frome the wedding.

Wedding vendors (Vera Wang, Lehr & Black, Hansen's, etc) were falling all over each to "gift" the happy couple. The Venetian paid Kim K. $50k to host her bachelorette party at Tao. Palazzo comped her suite. Bruce Jenner negotiated a deal for 1.5 million for magazine photo rights. E! network is said to have paid her a total of 13 million for the rights to film the special that runs ad naseum.

And that's only the stuff that's readily available in the press.

Like I said: Ugh.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was timed to boost ratings of Kim and Kourtney take New York. People will be watching to see if any of these 'unreconcilable differences' are aired. I am actually surprised her mom didn't convince her to wait a couple of weeks until right before the show premiered. It is really quite sad that there is an entire family of such giant fame whores

i love kim kardashian. she has a life that fantasies are made up. you grow up beautiful and end up rich for doing nothing more than being beautiful. cant fault her for taking the money that people are offering her. hell knows i would if i looked like her.
