Western Casino Closing after 41 years

Good training ground for new card counters too.

In academic circles this is known as a Type II error. It is known to lead to one's genes being flushed from the pool.

From all the news and comments on the local Vegas sites I been reading, the place is full of scumbags and drug addicts. The surrounding area is not all that great either. I know alot of you here love downtown Vegas, but after driving through there on my last trip, I avoid it at all costs. Farthest I drive down these days is the CVS north of the Strat, where there are few people compared to the CVS in the heart of the strip.
going to the CVS in Vegas.....now that is exciting!

So little subtle humor remains in this day of LCD laughs, thank you, Don Diego.
I was there last Thurday night. Had a shot of Wild Turkey and a Coors Light.

They used to have rooms for $18 per night/with an out of state ID. They didn't want the local riff-raff soiling the place. The plan didn't work.

RIP Western.

The hotel was closed a couple years ago after it was condemned. I'm surprised the casino stayed open this long.

I always wondered how any hotel room could be any worse than the ones at the Plaza before they remodeled. These must have been pretty bad if they were condemned.

Wonder if any one has any photos?

I seem to recall a site named "Cheapo Vegas" (or something like that) where there was a trip report with pics.

Thanks Roadtrip. I will check it out.
