Westgate to become Elara Hilton Grand Vacations

Just got an email from Hilton announcing that the Westgate at Planet Hollywood is changing over to the Elara Hilton Grand Vacations Club hotel on March 1, 2012.

I've been tempted to stay at one of these places. Does it announce any other changes?

Hope that doesn't interfere with our being able to trade into there again,that was the nicest place we ever traded a timeshare week into. We had planned to make that our homebase place to stay.

So thats going to be the 4th HGVC property near the strip. Sheesh.

I've stayed in the one accross the street from Sahara. Mgmt does a pretty good job with upkeep, service, and activites for the kiddies.

The only other thing that was mentioned in the email was that if I book a Studio Room between 3/1 and 5/25, that I would get a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite.

During the hardest times in the recession, they had the double suite (lower floors) at $259 on some nights. That was really tempting.
