WESTWORLD

DVR is the greatest and most useful piece of technology for the average person since.....well.....forever. Remember programming your VCR?
On-demand streaming has rendered DVRs obsolete for the most part.
To a point. Most of the good shows on-demand still won't let you skip the commercials, which defeats the purpose

I'm really surprised DD doesn't own a DVR.

DonDiego already spends too much time in front of his TV screen and computer screen. If'n he were to start recording things he'd find more things to record than he should and end up spending more time in front of his TV screen and computer screen.

And, knowing DonDiego, he'd record things that he'd think were interesting and save them for later and never get around to watching them anyway. This old DonDiego is sometimes quite troublesome. Technology can make him more so.

DonDiego jes' finished watching Episode Two; it's getting' complicated out there in Westworld, . . . and also in the corporate operations facilities. DonDiego's beginning' to wonder who's real and who's not, . . . sorta like right heh' on the LVA Free-for-All. Some of these heh' posters jes' cannot be real.

Saw the first episode, it was good. Got the 2nd one DVR'ed.
The 2nd one seems to spend a lot of time setting up the series by showing guests arriving and the process they go through to enter the park which was kind of what I expected in the first episode, so it caught me by surprise when they backtracked and went over it in the second.
We weren't that impressed with first episode but the second one hooked us. For the record, we have never been forced to watch commercial on a dvr-ed program.
On a DVR-ed program you can always skip the commercials because you recorded it. If you're streaming it "on-demand" they will often disable the skipping features so you have to watch the commericals. I know because there's a little warning that pops up that says "fast forward features may be disabled for this show". Also, the fast forward feature doesn't work when I press the button
