Ken: Yes, negativity never comes to any good end. Nice website.

My husband opened the account and I do not think he posted there; do you?

a lot of people dont like responding to trolls. this is why the boards general interest in helping you with your plight kind of plummeted after i outed you as being a trolll who concocted this entire story. remember?

Well, I have never had anything stolen from my room throughout the world.

However, I don't leave anything of great value
in my room, even in the in-room safe.

I always use the hotel's deposit-type safe.

I have read about thefts in hotel rooms in some of my travel membership publications.

Evidently, people have had items taken even out of their in-room safes.

One interesting story where they did arrest a couple housekeepers happened in a non-casino
hotel in one of the Caribbean islands.
I can't recall which one.

Anyway, one housekeeper entered the subject room and unlocked the connecting room next door.

The other housekeeper entered the room next door and opened the other connecting adjacent door.

She then entered the victim's room and took some valuables. I think it was cash and a necklace.

The hotel itself did not conclude it was them but the police investigating the matter did.

The victims got their necklace back but not all
their money. I think the police could not ascertain the verifiable amount taken.
They did get back some money. How much, I can't recall.

I also read somewhere that things taken from an in-room safe do not make the hotel liable.
I suppose it's because most of the time it can't be verified.

On the other hand, when you leave it in the hotel's safe or deposit box and get a receipt,
you are then covered for any loss.

Hope you get your stuff back.

Jen, even if they were not accurate about things they said were represented by you
that does not necessarily mean their account
was fictitious.
jjjj21: That is an interesting scenario and glad the victims got some of their property returned. Thanks for the thoughtful sentiments and story.
