What are your favorite Italian dishes besides pasta dishes and pizza?

Two of mine are appetizers and the other is a dessert.

My favorite is Caprese, which usually includes good tomatos, soft mozarella, basil, and a small amount of olive oil.

My other favorite is carpaccio, which is very thinly sliced raw beef, with thinly shaved parmesan, basil, and capers.

Also a really good Chicken Marsala or Veal Marsala is pretty nice.

Calzone!!

I'm pretty simple here. I love some mozz sticks with a good marinara for dunking, and throw in some fried calamari with it,yummmm. If i have to order something beside pasta,i go for the chick parm. Of course all the mozz has to be good quality cheese for it to be really good.

Chicken cacciatore. AND it's my favorite kind of dish...it can be done from start to finish IN ONE PAN!

There is that plate thingy, but who cares.
Italian sausage with peppers and onions.
I (being Italian) do ALL the cooking at my house.

Sunday I made Chicken Cacciatore (one of my specialty favorites),
....... which is chicken thighs in a red sauce with halved potatoes, sliced bell peppers, peas, zucchini, green beans and large mushrooms chunks.

........... served in a big bowl with thick slices of fresh baked Italian bread for dunking. Oh Yeah

Mangia, Mangia !!!!!!
