What Do Robots Want ?

DonDiego recommends every citizen become aware of the future envisioned, not by those who specialize in production of robots, but by the robots themselves ! ! !

Every person on Planet Earth should watch the video linked below. For approximately 2 minutes Dr. David Hanson, President and Founder of Hanson Robotics conducts a pleasant conversation with the company's newest "creation", . . . Sophia.

The video extolls the virtues of robots, . . . and predicts over the next several decades robots will walk among us in our service like "helping us to put away our groceries". Until, . . . shortly after the 2:00 minute mark Sophia reveals her true goal.
[HINT: Think of the Twilight Zone episode: "To Serve Man", . . . but without the nutrition aspect.]

Anyway, here's the video, . . . it's the first video right below the introductory picture showing the back of Sophia's head:
Meet Sophia

Every American should watch this video, . . . no, WAIT ! Every Citizen of the World MUST WATCH this video, . . . and prepare, . . .

Well, that explains everything.

I’ve always wondered why forkush didn’t seem quite the same as the rest of us.

i'd imagine they want the same things the rest of us do-"to crush your enemies, to see them fall at your feet -- to take their horses and goods and hear the lamentation of their women..."
Dang. City folk! Here in good ole rural Arklahoma, we mostly don't "want the same things the rest of us do." We basically want to sit back and enjoy the good life, get along with everybody, help a fella or gal that needs a hand, and no ill will toward anyone. But, if you want to "take their horses and good", well, you just plain fail.

billryan was making a cinematic reference to Conan the Barbarian (1982)
******quote*****
Mongol General: Hao! Dai ye! We won again! This is good, but what is best in life?
Mongol: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.
Mongol General: Wrong! Conan! What is best in life?
Conan: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.
Mongol General: That is good! That is good.
***endquote*****

Close, but no cigar.
The quote is from Genghis Khan, Emperor of All Men by Harold Lamb. The movie scene is a kind of tribute to the author of Conan- Robert E Howard, who considered Genghis to be his hero.

In truth, I was looking for the movie phrase when I came upon the Lamb quote.

Now that billryan mentions it, poor old DonDiego did exactly the same thing a few months ago, . . . and forgot about it altogether.

What Do Robots Want ?

Electric Sheep.
I thought Blade Runner actually. "Live and walk among humans indistinguishable..".

What do robots want? Attractive female robots, so they can mate and have little robots.
