I have no issue with this:

The Colorado Family Planning Initiative, funded by a private anonymous donor for five years, has provided intrauterine devices and other implants to low-income women at 68 family-planning clinics across Colorado since 2009.

Note - funded by a private donor and not taxpayer or employer extortion to pay for morning after abortion pills.

Unfortunately. a wealthy private donor is not available in every or even 49 of the other states. Should we just ignore the now proven math of it? Or are you for more abortions and higher Medicaid taxes to pay for this lack of birth control?

According to this study the teen pregnancy rate has dropped from 61.8 to 26.6 per thousand in the last 25 years.

Unfortunately - some people think the "wealthy private donor" should be the government....who does not collect any income taxes for > 43% of the American government.

Socialism is a great idea until you run out of other people's money to spend.

So let me get this straight. Government has two choices here:

Government pays 1x and produces the result that a fertile or pregnant woman, in consultation with her doctor, her family, her friends, and her conscience wants.

Government pays 5.68x and produces the result that a fertile or pregnant woman, in consultation with her doctor, her family, her friends, and her conscience does NOT want.

It doesn't have anything to do with “socialism” or any other political system it is simply a smart investment for every $1 you invest you get $5.68 back. Not implementing a proven investment like this is literally throwing as you put it other people's money away.

BTW since we are talking about state taxes I am pretty sure everyone pays gasoline tax and or a sales tax in the state they live in.
