A couple of years ago, rhousedj (Brad) and a friend started a hell,I'm not sure what to call it, a coupon club? Anyway, they were trying to compete with the LVA coupon book. Visiting different casinos trying to get "deals".Eventually everything fell apart and he just disappeared.
When I co-founded a competing Las Vegas deals card company Anthony Curtis restricted my access on the website. I have not disappeared and around 80%+ of former Vegas Rover card members are still part of a private group. We hold Vegas and other various meets around the country. Last weekend I hosted a meet at a Detroit Casino and we have a 2016 Cruise set for next October. In March of this year I left Vegas Rover Ltd. as I was offered a position with another company.
After 3 years of competing in the Las Vegas deals market I decided it was a losing proposition. Vegas Groupon deals are stronger than ever. Casinos are no longer interested in offering strong gaming deals due to most people who purchase these books (not everyone) go on a coupon run. Between Anthony calling various partners threatening to D-list them if they continue deals with us and other various non-members calling/emailing casinos it was an uphill battle.
We had a very large troll following from various boards who liked to run records checks and bring up a mistake I made when I was a kid 16 years ago. We were very proud of the deals we accomplished in such a short time. One of our biggest exclusive deals was the Tropicana Match offer which lasted from October 2014 until April 2015. Tropicana would match ANY comp room/gaming/resort credit offer for our members. Tropicana ended our deal in April 2015 with the pending sale to Penn Gaming. Yes we had other deals which some were strong and others matched what was in the LVA.
Finally after spending May 2014 until November 2014 living in Las Vegas and working day/night I was pretty much burnt out on Vegas and ready to return to the Midwest where I call home. Hope that answers some questions. I had to create a new account just to post this. I remember meeting bbking in Las Vegas a few years back.
