What happend to Las Vegas?

Not spam but this commercial has been airing in Los Angeles for a few months now and they have several different versions of it. It hits a note with me.

take Vegas back
Sounds good, but they are talking about the Stratosphere...they should concentrate on taking that neighborhood back.
With the closing of the Riviera, the Strat would be smart to become the "last place" on the strip offering competitive table games at low limits. The Riv always had a $1 blackjack table open and plenty of $5 options. The Strat would be smart to go that route rather than the "hipster" route the SLS is trying.
I'm not too worried about the Strat. They would have gone under long before now if they didn't play their cards right. They've managed to keep their head above water during a sour economy and with an isolated location.

They know their customers and understand how to keep them happy.

I agree. But they seem to be going in the opposite direction. Last year they went to $10 minimum for craps at all time. Used to be my craps go-to, when it was $5. Not a tremendous difference, but given options downtown, I'm less inclined to play there now.
