What happened to the Chicago Bears?

There are many rumors flying around Chicago, including Trestman being let go at the end of the season. The defensive coordinator couldn't do squat in Jacksonville, so why bring him in? Play calling is atrocious. Cutler has his "starlet" wife and kids and a big paycheck--he simply doesn't care. That was obvious after Marshall called him out earlier in the season.

Alas, the McKaskeys are notoriously cheap, so I don't expect much.

Does teach8 know that the league mandates a spending floor in addition to the spending cap, and that all NFL teams spend virtually identical sums of money?

I'm tired of hearing about how the Redskins spend a ton and the Bears are cheap. The truth is that they spend the same amount of money on player salaries.

Been watching them since 1970 and never recall a year so horrendous. Just having an idea of the team payroll makes it seem so much worse. With a lot of these guys, at minimum wage they'd be stealing.
It's obvious this coach is in way over his head. After every loss there's mild acceptance, no outrage.

If you had said 1976 instead of 1970 I would swear you are talking about the Tampa Bay Bucs

BTW..... Patriots 41-37 in this years Superbowl over Seattle

The Patriots are capable of beating Seattle in the Superbowl but the probability of them scoring 41 points is about 0.00001. A score of 21-17 would be more likely.

This is long overdue.......

Cutler BENCHED !!!
I like the idea of benching Cutler - I am surprised they didn't call it an "injury" like Adam Dunn had when he was about to break the strikeout record for the White Sox. An "injury" would also give them a chance to activate the 3rd string quarterback David Fales who rumor has it has drawn the interest of Bill Belichick....
Regarding the McKasjey's, a 1985 Bear player told a story that some of the players were complaining that their rings were nothing special. They were told to win another Superbowl and the rings will get bigger.

Certainly not at all like the Chicago Blackhawks organization, is it?

I'm thinking of tuning in today's Bears game just so I can see Cutler's facial reactions on the sideline.
