What happened with Mc Donalds and MGM Resorts?

MGM didn't renew the McD leases anywhere except Circus Circus, which makes sense - kids meals would be in high demand there. I've read that Johnny Rockets will move into some or most of those food court spaces. I've only eaten at a Johnny Rockets once, thought it was pretty good, and not too expensive for a fast food burger.

Does JR do breakfast? Not necessarily for the whole day, but at least to 10:30.
My gastro-trips consist of little quality. If I'm there for three nights, it usually includes one nice restaraunt..............maybe a top notch downtown joint. I never pop for a strip top notch meal, as I guess I'm too cheap to spend $200 for a meal. On my typical trip, I'll have second meal, usually down town, maybe spending $75. After that, I'm going to Gran Lux type place for breakfast.

If I'm on a boys trip, which is 95% of the time, I spend $250 total for food for the three nights. Hell, it may be less than that.

We went to a Johnny Rockets omce and doubt we'll ever go back. I was actually kinda psyched to find one and were majorly disappointed by the time we left.

We got there and a ordered a couple burgers, milkshake and fries. Two minutes after ordering, she brought our fries out I assumed the burgers were following. Nope. I caught her and asked if they always served the fries first w/o the burgers, she replied in the affirmative. I told we liked our burgers and fries at the same time she said something like people preferred their fries hot, I gave up (is that a west coast thing or something?, This was down somewhere around Laguna beach). Fifteen min. later our burgers came out followed by my shake 5-10 min after that. I guess the cook wasn't competent enough to time burgers and fries to come out together. Anyway the burger wasn't that great, neither were the fries come to think of it and it wasn't that cheap.

Too many other burger joints out there to fool with them again. Actually In N Out burgers we fell in love with and were far and away the best fast food (and some sit down brand) burgers we've had. I really wish they'd come out to the East coast.

I suspect the Laguna Beach location is an anomaly. Our Johnny Rockets meals in Las Vegas were served normally.

I have avoided Laguna Beach since I hitchhiked to California in 1970 and got a ticket for sitting on the sidewalk across the street from the Taco Bell that was close to the ocean. They wanted me to pay $30 for violating their sitting on the sidewalk ordinance. That was 4 days into my 2-week journey from Colorado to Santa Monica to San Diego and back to Colorado. I began the journey with $20 in my pocket, so paying the ticket fee was out-of-the-question. Laguna Beach issued a demand for payment of $90, sent to my home address three months later, with an automatic arrest warrant issued if I didn't pay the fee. I think the arrest warrant is now invalid because it is past the statute of limitations...but I have no desire to go back there anyway. Every place I found to sleep on the beach there (also likely against the law) was buggy. There are/were billions of teeny tiny black ants that lived in large colonies under the sand that weren't present in the late afternoon or evening. I woke up covered in the little suckers two days in a row and had to run into the ocean to get rid of them! The only thing that kept me in Laguna Beach for more than the time between hitchhiked rides was the Taco Bell being so close to the beach. I could frolic in the ocean water and eat cheap - pretty much everything on the Taco Bell menu back then was 25 cents.
Harrahs Laughlin also has gotten rid of McDonalds. It is now a Smashburger.
The Plaza still has one and its popular..

I hit it up for coffee each morning I stayed there last time. Thats pretty much the only thing I get at McDonalds.

The D has one also. The seminar I attended, didn't have coffee service the first day, so I went down (from 12th floor) to get coffee from Mc Donalds.
I don't eat fast food often. when I do, I like CHICK FIL A, QDOBA, POPEYES, FIREHOUSE SUBS. but none of them are on my way to work. when I am in Vegas, I may go to IN-N-OUT once a year.
Then my oven operator must not know what he's doing. I've certainly done both fries and tots in the oven, but I find that utilizing my deep fryer producers far better tasting taters. If you like your method, you might as well stay with it since it's healthier than my method.

Best thing to hit the supermarkets: Fast Food Fries, find them in the frozen food section.

Heat in single layer in a 450 oven for 10 minutes...just like McDonald's, or better!

Unbelievable but true, and a lot more for the money. One bag gives us 3-4 meals.
