That's why I left Massachusetts 32 years ago. I just cannot stand the cold weather and snow. I HATE IT!!!!! I hated shoveling that white crap only to have a plow shove it all back into my driveway. Even thinking about it makes me cold.

We had a few days in the 20's here in Georgia last week and I thought I was going to die. Today it will be 53 degrees! Still chilly but tolerable. I may have to retire to Belize.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I left in 1975. I do not miss the snow at all.
When I left for work on Monday it was -8 in the southern Maine town that I live in not counting windchill. It has been bitter cold. This morning it was so cold that it takes your breathe away. I am soooo ready for spring.

Well Rickster, I do remember in about Dec of 1989 the daytime high was a whopping -25 degrees F. This ranged from Omaha, Nebraska to Dayton, Ohio (it did go further east, but not having the exact figures, I went with what I knew for a fact)
NYC had 15 inches this morning breaking the record for January snowfall (supposed to have more thru the weekend). Suburbs had about 20 inches. We have already exceeded our average snowfall for the year.

The snow mountain (covering about 30 spaces) at my train station is 7 feet high and 30 feet thick

Spotted today for the first time in 7 weeks a few patches of grass
