Perhaps traffic is down because the boards frequently don't load properly. People give up and go somewhere else to chat.

The forums are a small part of lasvegasadvisor.com. There's lots of Vegas content here including a bookstore, a newsletter, vegas news, discounts, coupon book, show and dining info....etc... I would bet that traffic to LVA is driven more by seasonal vacation planning and the economy than political posts in the Free For All...In fact, I'll bet for every 1 new person coming to LVA for the Vegas Content the powers that be would gladly eliminate 10 political threads.

I think Alan is correct. There is quantity and there is quality. By minimizing political threads the people who come to the site are more focused on the Las Vegas experience & are of more value to advertisers.
