What is your best airfare to Vegas this year ??

I have two which I thought be mistakes from Nashville to Vegas in August 156 and then same route for 142 in November this is round trio all fees on Continental.
Never thought I would see fares this good again.
Found a $175 round trip deal on Spirit DFW to Las Vegas.
Sent my daughters clothes by UPS.

Spirit has low fares but charges for everything.
Extra $ for baggage carry-on or checked. There were a bunch of unhappy campers at the airport checking in when they had to pay for baggage carry-ons. Guess they didn't read the fine print!!

Spirit has a $9 club. They have two versions. A temporary membership is $19 but they say only in very fine print that it does not apply to the current booking and can only be used on a second booking. The other version is for a year long "membership".

I was unable to reach them by phone.. Evidentally everything must be done on the internet.

Their fares are low and beat all competitors.

I don't know that I'd book with them again. I don't like the nickle and dime method of squeezing the passengers.

To

Las Vegas, NV (LAS)

not good at cutting and pasting but here it is

thank you for posting this. im glad to see those arent my dates. if they were and kayak didnt catch them, i would be crying.
$75 pp each way, $405 grand total (all taxes, 911 fees and paying to check one bag each way) for TWO non-stop flights Detroit to Las Vegas, leaves Labor Day, returns on red-eye 9/9/11. Spirit Airlines. Not thrilled
about Spirit Airlines, but thrilled about the price. Of course, snagged these tickets last January.

$49 each way in mid January. It was through Spirit from Detroit. Fly Spirit out of Detroit to Vegas is almost always really cheap. I know Spirit charges extra for anything, but they are still usually the cheapest flight to Vegas from Detroit.
Leaving for Vegas on 7/30, used AA miles to book going out from Raleigh ( first class). Considering I was using Miles, I booked that flight back in February which left me to find return back to RDU. I checked Kayak about 3 times a week over the next few months. I kept getting the same low cost matches each time I searched (around $200 one way) until one day a Continental flight popped up $69 one way by way of Houston. I jumped all over it.
I got my best ever with Southwest on their 40th Anniversary sale

Direct Omaha to Vegas....$80 each way= $177!!!

Didn't have another trip planned after my upcoming July 28th trip....but air at that price....
Just had too!! Booked October 13-17 trip

Big bonus....Wynn host is giving me 4 comp nights....Hell of a deal !! Awesome!!
We too got Southwest's Austin-Las Vegas for $80.00 each way. There in 4 days and a wake up! Can't wait!!!!!
Down to only one trip his year and looked at airfares almost daily. Finally, got a $120 nonstop from BWI each way for later this summer. With the temp at 106 yesterday the "dry heat" of the Vegas summer wont seem so bad.
Finally rebooked Southwest out of Milwaukee for about $110 each way. Went from $287 to $220 and added a day to my September trip.

Granted, it's a financial wash after adding a Friday night hotel stay, but that's one more night of fun.
