What kinds of guns do you have?

I own the kind that made me sleep better for all those years my wife slept in an empty house when I was at the fire department. Mrs. Tutontow is a crack shot and would not hesitate to send you to meet your maker. A high tech alarm system, video surveillance, Samuel Colt and my little buddy Mr. Winchester 1300 coupled with several trips to the range helped her with sleeping in an empty house all those years.

Years ago before the days of caller I.D. Tutontow had to leave the station and go home to console a sobbing Mrs. Tutontow because some asshole knew when I was on duty. He would call my home and express his sexual desires for Mrs. Tutontow. This only occured when I was at work. Once I put the above puzzle together we both slept a lot better. We also developed code to let her know it was me calling.
My favorite and the most funnerest to shoot is probably my ruger MKIII (similar to pic)

and while not the main home defense it will hold eleven hollow points that I guarantee would at least sting a little.

I also have a competition skeet gun my dad gave me back when I was shooting a lot. The barrel is carbon fiber and the whole thing only weighs like two lbs. I never quite got used to it tho 'cause it's semi-auto and that's just weird on a .12 ga, to me anyway. I've used pumps my entire life, guess that's why.

Sound decision.

Hmmm . . . would a bazooka be considered to be a "gun"?

I have none.
I have a Daisy pump action BB rifle that my grandfather gave me when I was 12. It holds a bunch of BBs. It is neither an automatic nor semi-automatic weapon. I also have a Rossi 38 Special, 5-shot revolver. It is a semi-automatic weapon because it will fire as quickly as I can pull the trigger. Some gun control freaks would ban all semi-automatic weapons....and I suspect some of their supporters don't realized that would include simple modern-day revolvers.

DonDiego suspects they do realize it.

Yes. It is a recoilless rifle. I had the opportunity to fire a 105mm model may years ago. It had a 50cal. spotting rifle mounted to it. Wherever the 50 cal. bullets hit, that's where the rocket would hit. What a blast to shoot. (pun intended)

For simplicity, a revolver is by far the best. However I do like the balance of capacity and stopping power that's were a semi automatic comes in handy.

Semi autos: The Springfield Armory 1911 has great stopping power ok capacity (8 rounds) but it a bit small for my hand. The Beretta 92SB fits my hand like a glove, great capacity (15 rounds) but crappy stopping power.

Revolvers: The Smith and Wesson Model 19 .38/.357 fits great can fire a .357 but is not made to fire some of the more powerful magnum loads as the gun simply can't handle the pressure. Ruger Security six .357 with a larger grip works nicely.

Currently, I only have a marlin .22 rifle, but I'll be slowly re-buying what I used to have.
