What new car would you buy?

My final four, all four-cylinder models. If gas were to go to $6/gal, I wouldn't want the V6 version.

Mazda6
Kia Optima
Nissan Altima
Subaru Legacy

But I would be fine with a 2010 Passat, as long as it was a certified pre-owned.
I wouldn't go brand new, but would go slightly used. Maybe 2 or 3 years low miles.

I love the Toyota Avalon. Nice look, roomy nice power, and good gas miliage.

They call them the poor man's Lexus. I have a friend with a 98 Avalon with almost 200k miles.

Its looks great and runs perfect. I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. What a car. It doesn't look quite showroom, but close to it. It runs unbelieveable with very very little problem.

Silky smooth powertrain. The market is somewhat soft on this car for some reason. I'm sure they are deal to be made on this car.............
Bought a 1994 Honda Accord new and had no major problems. The air conditioner went bad the first year while still under warranty. Replaced my second car, an 88 Sentra for a 98 Altima, but had a few problems and replaced it with a 2008 Toyota Corolla. Have had no problems with the Corolla, but I think the Accord is better.

Decided I needed a P/U truck and settled with a Toyota Tacoma last year and gave the Accord to my nephew. The A/C was still good on the Accord.

Yeah, their 3.5 has the worst carbon footprint in it's class, I believe. I don't think they even try. They made one decent attempt, with the Neon, but gave it up. What's the expression... lipstick on a pig?

Whatever the brand you are thinking about, find out if it is made (assembled) in America. Its good for all of us.
One would be well advised not to purchase an automobile from Iraq, Afghanistan, or Libya, . . . for patriotic reasons. In anticipation of future events, DonDiego suggests one also avoid Iranian products.

NO cars here in Iraq- only sand.

Most people are a foot in these regions.

Couldn't be happier with my Jaguar S-Type. Although 2006, only has 28,000 miles. It was someones baby for a while and now it's all mine!!!
I'm sorry if I offended some folks here, was just thinking mainly we should buy " Red white and Blue " to keep our economy strong, and I think Ford's really do exist!
Problem with that is the number of "American" cars not built in America and the number of "foreign" cars built in America. And it's still Americans owning, selling and servicing at Toyota dealerships and the like. Cars regardless birth produce road fees and gas tax. I'm sure the guys/gals who put together my Honda in the south are far more appreciative than if I bought a GM from Canada. BTW, who holds what stocks?

Our economy is weak because we're a nation of lazy consuming idiots who can't think coherently.
