What was your biggest win?

It was a good year and CET really kept those comps coming for a long time. This was in the late 90s, early 2000s when we could still expect to hit a hand pay with some decent play. Things have changed.

We frequent a local indian casino now - which we never would have considered back then. We've signed for at least 10 jackpots in the past 18 months, so the payouts are much better there. I can't abide the per-hand ante or the low VP paytables there, though, so we go to Vegas once or twice a year to get our VP and table game fix. We have switched to Station Casinos for most of our play.

Do Stations give you decent offers by mail? I've been playing at Stations more and more just because I seem to have good luck with them...and I like that you can spend comps at any stations property.

But my mail offers have been garbage from them.
Stations is by far the worse for offers, usually the worse for customer service. My biggest hits come from there, but I was also playing the most there. I try to not go there much or often and boycott them for large amounts of time. They are inconsistent and stingy with comps and status, we used to go for the decent cheap buffets, but the buffets became cheaper and inedible. We still go there due to cheapness sometimes, but let's be real I have had to get three plates before anything was good and have ended up with a bowl of chicken noodle soup and stopped going to the deserts at all because they were just trash.

Oddly, after months of them stopping sending me comps altogether, two of their properties sent me 20-30 each week, which is like a kazillion dollars from them. But on average, I get ten times more from other places. If you don't go in, they will stop sending anything altogether very quickly, even though I had status. They have no marketing sense at all. I am a loyal customer who is all about status and perks, you treat me good and value my business, I am happy to bring it. A little remember my name or face recognition (I am talking daily customers here).

There is a reason their motto is "we love locals"....they need to desperately convince the locals of that...because this local does not love stations. And sadly, again I have won in there. That is how crazy and bad their business sense are....how does someone not like some place where they have won....but then again, went in yesterday and lost in two properties in ten minutes....the only thing the "we love locals" campaign does is remind of the oxymoron of it all. They can also be so tight to the frustration level. Took my family and it was so bad that everyone was pissed and they were vacationers with a losing expectation that just want to have some fun for a week. We had played more on strip for 3 days than at stations for 3 hours. And this happened 2-3 trips in a row.

I just read the above person, yes, tourist will get very good promos to come in because they know you will be on property to dine and gamble. They actually send very little to locals, a bogo buffet and maybe $5, once $3 and sometimes nothing....and that is for a decent player with status.
We get minimal to fair comps from Stations. 1 to 3 free nights, $50 dining credits, usually a buffet or two They send an email every few weeks, and a card each month. some Saturday nights are blacked out.
I go where I can find good pay tables and games we like, and Stations has those. Ive stayed at most of their properties but feel most at home at GVR or Red Rock. We used to be loyal to CET until they decided to squeeze all the gamblers. We still get comps from them. We also spent about 3 years with M Resort, but they changed drastically about 2 years ago. We get nothing from them now but like their buffet the best. We gave Silverton and SAMs Town some love a while back and we have offers about once a quarter.

Our local casino gives us laughable comps ($15. - $40 per month) for the coin in we have. But we win there, and that trumps comps any day.
Shortly after the turn of the Century DonDiego won first place in a blackjack tournament comprising $20,000 plus entry into an annual $1-million-first-prize blackjack tournament. He did not win the $1-million.

2 years later he repeated the above sequence.

On July 27, 2004 at Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, Iowa I hit a royal on dollar progressive 9/5 DDB for $8584. Haven't topped that since.

The bank is still there, but they've taken the progressives off Aces w/k, Aces, Spec 4K w/k, and Spec 4K, leaving only the royal progressive. And in those days cashback was a full 1.00% as I recall, reduced now to .25%. So the game is almost always -EV now.
My biggest win overall was a very good session at the French roulette table at the Paris Las Vegas. I bought in for $500 and colored up for $4850 at the end of the session.

Through the years I've hit 10 royals playing 25 cent video poker. The best win was $1838 on a progressive JOB machine the first night of a cruise to Nassau. I wasn't given a W2-G with the hand pay, so I thought maybe because the ship was in international waters, I wouldn't get one. They slipped the W2-G under my cabin door the final day of the cruise...

Sneaky,rotten bastards!

I think I have hit a $1000 royal 8 times now.Hoping for better!
on a $5 wheel of fortune machine, Lawrenceburg Indiana. I hit $2,500.00 and $5,000.00 on the bonus spin. same machine, separate visits. the $5,000.00 hit happened one night while playing pai-gow. they stopped the game to change the cards, so I had 5-10 minutes to get up and stretch or do something, so after a quick restroom break, I stopped at the WOF machine that was close by and decided to play a few rounds for the heck of it.... and as luck would have it I hit the 5k!!
I have hit the royal flush on pai-gow in Vegas. I think it paid $750.00 for the bonus bet. ($5 x 150-1) that was at the Orleans or GC. it was before they had the progressive jackpot added to that game. I think pai-gow is my favorite game. I just cant stand blackjack anymore.
