What will happen to the North end of the strip?

Here are a few more pictures of how it could look!

You forgot to add the apes on horseback in the background, and a half naked Charles Heston type character with a beautiful half naked female on horseback.

Reminds me of the episode of Life After People. I like how in the one picture Sahara is next to MGM lol.
Here is an interesting blog about North Strip casinos and what might happen to Sahara.

North Strip casinos

Unless somebody forgot something, there has been a sh!tload of building on the north end of the strip since 2008. Most of that area had construction on the Trump side of the street and on the Sahara side. Almost all of that space has new buildings on it as of Aug 2009. In order to change things around, some stuff has to go bye bye. McD's is on the strip, when they weren't before 2009.

Mickey Dees has been at that location for years. It was there on my first Vegas trip in 2001. It might have been closed for awhile while they rebuilt it, but it was there in 2001 and didn't look new at the time.

McD's has been on the strip for quite awhile. That location near Slots A Fun I think is pretty new. Building a new McD's is hardly going to save that part of the strip. Fact is a lot of places have been torn down in the North section, and there has been very little to replace what was once there. A lot of projects have started, but a lot of them have now been put on hold for who knows how long.

Yea, they have been put on hold, but now there are actual buildings on the sites. Either shells or half way completed/completed buildings.

The McD's was a brand new building, so your suggesting they tear it down and build something else there? I have heard of wasting money, but not even Uncle Sam could build something and then tear it down less than 5 years later.

Shells of a building have no current positive impact at all. No one knows when/if any of these projects will be completed. I am not suggesting tearing down a McD's at all, but a McD's isn't comparable to having a casino there. Wasting money would be spending millions if not billions on buying land and starting to build a casino and then stop. Much like what the North Strip is starting to look like.
Thought on echelon site. Build something something on a low budget, a low roller joint. No theme or anything, just a nice casino with some good old school (i'm thinking benny binion thinking) gambling. Couple decent places to eat, nice rooms to rest your head.
If a theme or better a yet a slogan could be something like, 'downtown gambling, strip location'. I know that sounds kinda dumb, but you know what i mean.
