What would bother a casino more?

You're mistaken; that's a mirror.
we all know you have no friends

Now stop bothering the casinos or the maids will tell

If your friend is booked at mutliple properties, remind him that if he doesn't give ample play at all of them, he won't get future offers and will effectively be referred to as "Ground Zero" as to the cause of all future demise of casino offers for everyone on these boards. That's a heavy load to bear!

uh dan...you are wrong. if he stays at multplie properties and gives ample play at all of them, he is screwing the casino by running through the free play and leaving.

not to mention, leaving behind a wave of housekeepers unable to pay their rent.

Thanks for pointing this out.....completely forgot about that possibility.

You mention housekeepers but I don't think you're looking at the big picture here....what about the bellmen? I can see unemployment skyrocketing.

I hope RizzoJR's "friend" is just speculating and not actually considering doing this....either one could result in a catestropic failure of "the system" and ruin Vegas forever. Oh, the tragedy of it all.....

Dan

Whoops . . . wrong key! Sorry.
Everybody sympathizing with housekeepers here is missing the logical outcomes of the two strategies.

Player 1, in order to maximize tier points, would play the crappiest games in the casino and would lose thousands of dollars. As we all saw from "Undercover Boss" last week, this loss would distress top management to the extent that it would send the housekeeper on a two-week expenses-paid trip to Fiji.

In the second example, the housekeeper would not be bothered by the loss of tip revenue, since Player 2 usually stiffs her anyway. Besides, all she would need to do in the room would be to replace all the soaps, shampoos, etc. Player 2 took.

My "friend" and I think player #1 would be the kind of player the casino would not like because they are trying to use a system to simply milk out a tier score and they have no goal of actually giving the casino any fair shake at their money.

I think casinos love players why play for comps. Run a few hundred through a machine and get a free buffet. A couple hundred more is all that's needed to reach the next tier where you can get buffets for half price. Play for higher stakes and you just might get a free $40K car. I think the casinos are quite happy to have people play for comps.
