What's happened to LVA ?

One single post -- unknowingly coaching an exhibitionist step by step how to post a picture of her cookie -- guaranteed Teech placement in the LVA Hall of Fame.

Wow Here is my first reply since I started this WAR. I feel like Obama . Start a war and now I have to explain my intentions. I really enjoy most everybody's post. We all have our flaws. I just don't fire back when i know somebody is going to get me going.

I can talk to Frankie as easy as I talk to Bags . I can talk to Money La as well as anybody else.
I guess I am easy .
Somebody mention Vegas Rex . I used to follow him until he became SeattleRex. He comes off as a Howard Stern wanabe.
I still miss the trip reports here .
Remember the Days of Nesalk. Oh my God . Too perverted. Captain Joe was good. He actually lives 15 miles from me. Started his site at one time. Good to see NavyMom pop up here. LVA lost a lot of people
during the infamous switcheroo.

Awe thanks..it's nice to be noticed. I never really left, just decided that I didn't need all the accusations and finger pointing.
OMG, you guys are too funny..I haven't been lurking long enough to remember the cookie pic...
and I'm not showing you my rack.

teechur, that sounds like a great way to be remembered, go with it.
haha

I'm one of the paid side posters who probably write TR's that are too personal, too descriptive and definitely too long. I guess I do that because I enjoy reading the same type; makes feel a little bit like I'm there. I especially enjoy reading humor in TR's along w/factual or useful information. I didn't write them until I was a member for a couple of years; actually, I didn't even discover their existence at first as I didn't pay attention to the boards. I agree that readers should remain non-judgemental and I really miss several posters who stopped after being ridiculed or insulted. I'll continue to read what little we have left, even the short, brief posts. It helps me to escape reality for a little while to read about something I enjoy and "hear" the different personalities of the writers. They really come in handy if I'm having a bad week like this one. My 2 hospice pt's died this week. One on Monday and I just got back from being w/the second late tonight. It's no surprise that I can't sleep after my long drive back home. I've been taking care of these 2 sweet ladies for the past year and we were really close. It's good to have a diversion right now so I can return to work later today and help others. I don't really get the time to grieve as a nurses' work is never done. Just my thoughts on the matter; I hope most of you continue to share as I will continue to appreciate your contributions to this board.
I'm very sorry for your losses, Tracy. It can't be easy to take care of people in their last months. You must be a very special person.
I've been wandering, I admit. Left when they tried to switch to beta. Hated the new forum and had trouble getting in. Visited some other sites and didn't like them as well either, so haven't been anywhere in awhile. Finally dropped back in here a few weeks ago and see that it's "somewhat" back to normal. I just observe for the most part now. I don't plan to renew my LVA when the time comes...at least not for awhile. I miss many of the old timers, but know that new folks will come along that I'll like, too. I'm glad to be back, have to say I missed the place. k
Nurses have a very difficult job. There must be a special place in heaven for them.

I don't know if I have a special place but I have worked with some that were true angels on Earth.
