I personally pay just for the coupon book. Everything else is an added bonus. Only other thing I pay much attention to is the newsletter, and every once in a great while some of the paid forums. I guess as long as I find more value in the coupon book then what the asking price is I will keep buying. For people who don't travel around the Vegas area when they are there I can certainly understand not buying the book. The book has more value if you're willing to travel off strip.

This is the first year that I have paid for the membership. I have read the free for all for several years. I thought that I would get more and better reading material from the paid side. Boy was I wrong. Thank god the coupons pay for the price of membership. As a local I will never pay again as the coupons are just not even worth it to me. I can get free rooms and free meals whenever I like.

i honestly think that the free side started the downfall of this site in general. you had all these ridiculous people sign up and then the paid siders would tell them about the mecca over there in paid land, and they would join.....which backfired when they brought their free side crap over to the paid side.

I also miss the good ole days when members could post trip reports without sarcastic commentary. There used to be a lot more useful and helpful information posted. Agreed with some of the veteran posters "can't we all just get along". I also agree that the attempted switch to the new forums severely curtailed participation. Unfortunately IMO it was a nightmare and we lost many contributors.

It's all Nicky's fault.

Snidely, you are one critical, ignorant, and dense SOB. Of course Anthony didn't do it. Although we have communicated a few times, he probably has no idea who I am. If you had spent significant time on the paid side, you would know why I said that about him.

Other than those qualities listed above, I like you fine.
