What's new in Vegas?

My spouse and I have been to Vegas numerous times in the last 30 years. We used to live in California, but now we're in Wyoming via Colorado. We still go once a year. I cried when the Stardust was demolished. First Casino I ever went to and first buffet experience. We now own a time share and love being able to know where we are staying and cooking our own meals. We get free weeks and points to get more time plus comped nights at other places. I'm mourning the loss of the Riviera where my bother was married (his third time). But I love the TITO system for slots! My hands stay clean and I'm not toting around heavy buckets of nickels. I'm looking forward to visiting the mob museum and my old friend, the Stardust sign, at the neon boneyard. So, all you old-timers, what do you miss and what new stuff do you enjoy? What's new since last fall I should know about?

Lately, I've had one trip to Vegas per year. The only new thing I remember from my last trip was Wahlburgers at Bally's. I didn't go inside but it totally reeked of sewer out front. I can't imagine it being good for business.
Here are a few:
- Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. We share an order of Blueberry French Toast and an order of their wonderful thick crispy bacon.
- The classic car collection at the IP is, I believe, still in place, though the IP is now renamed the Linq.
- My husband visited the Shelby classic car museum recently. It was Carroll Shelby's creation and previously housed his #1 Shelby, for which he turned down an offer of $50 million. Husband was disappointed that it was not in the museum when he visited, off being prepped for auction (Mr. Shelby has died). Don't know which auction or if it has already happened. Anyway, there was still much to see if you are interested in Cobras and Mustangs. It used to be a long way out, by the race track, but is now just off the south Strip, south of Bellagio etc.
- If you've never taken a Hoover Dam tour, it is awesome.
- Have you done the High Roller? We haven't, but will some day. Said to be best taken at night.
- There is the new arena/park/whatever in the area of Monte Carlo. Haven't seen it.
- Do you like shows? The old standbys or headliners? Brooks & and Reba McIntyre show was excellent and I understand they will return to Caesars for more shows now and then.

I think there is some construction resuscitation going on North Strip.
Treasure Island is doing some re-modeling, or so I read.
There is a tour of Wayne Newton's spread that has had some pretty good reviews. He also has a new show somewhere, though he can't really sing much. Maybe someone who has seen either the estate or the show will give some information.

Peruse the LVA site at top of the home page for more ideas, even if you don't purchase tickets. They have shows and tours and things listed with descriptions.
This is not new but one of the best deals is at the Cosmopolitan Milos Lunch. 3 course lunch for just under $26.00. 3rd floor noon- 3:00. Great choices, great food. For sure Mon-Friday's, check their web site if valid on week ends.
