What's Your Never, Ever Again Vegas Hotel?

Imperial Palace - It stank. It was filthy. The cheap rooms were popular with the drunk ass college kids (so tanked they were falling over themselves, barfing in the hallways and elevators) and the very elderly "bus tour" people (building an almost impassable obstacle course of walkers and scooters for anyone trying just get the heck out of the place!). Add to that the slowest elevators on the planet and horrible attitudes from the staff... uggghhhh!
I'm shocked, shocked to read a bad review of IP. The IP is the CORE of Las Vegas.
RE: Hookers [Working Girls]. I go to VEGAS 2 to 4 times a year and lately if anything, i have
noticed that there seem to be less and less working girls in the casinos.
Although they can fairly easily be found outside the casinos, on the strip etc..
Have seen more than a few being escorted out by security.
Personally if they don't come out until later in the evening and leave
accompanied / married couples etc. guys alone
and are discreet, I say let them be.. And on the plus side they are fun / entertaining to
watch.. Anyway thats my [single guy] opinion..
have stayed at various properties, the only real "bad" room we had was at Bills Gambling house. We did not expect it to be a real upscale room. But the one that we had had yet to be remodeled. End of the hall and really old.
More modern "digs" was the Paris on Super bowl weekend last year. Comped room but room was pretty dated, long walk and no "flat screen".

Monte Carlo is at the top of my list. We were there for my daughter's wedding, and service stunk from the very start. They lost a package that was sent to the hotel for us, the newlyweds were put in a room with a broken toilet that was overlooking construction. When they asked to be moved they were told they would have to wait...no time frame...just wait. They ended up moving on their wedding day...not happy campers. they also screwed up the bill, and when questioned about the error they didn't apologize and acted like it was our fault. Absolutely last time I'd ever stay there, and would never recommend it. Don't really care for MGM because of their configuration...central elevator banks and outrageously long halls. If you get stuck at the end opposite the elevator and come it tired or fried, it's one hell of a walk to your room. k

Or was that the point?
lol

Yeah, that was the point. She must have flunked the Elevator Smalltalk 101 course in hooker school! And another thing, when I complained to the front desk and told tham they have a hooker problem they said "Yeah, tell me about it"
The Rio.

Non-smoking room smelled smokey as heck. Got food poisening with my girlfriend at one of their food establishemnts. They over charged my bank card for over $400 then fixed it. But overcharged it twice, causing my bank to lock my account. I upgraded my shit room on the 5th floor for an extra $20 and got a room on the 32nd floor with a strip view. Problem was, the new room had like a bird cage/security screen looking deal on the windows. So the room was all dark and you couldn't see shit out the windows.

No more Rio for me.
My worst stays in Vegas, most of them were my first few trips down too, luckily most have closed.

Showboat
Lady Luck (Garden Rooms)
Debbie Reynolds
Sahara
Strat
Bally's
Excaliber

Best:
The Orleans, never had to wait for a room always nice and pleasant get good comp offers.

The Gold Coast, same as above for the Orleans

Decent:

Palace Station though wouldnt stay there now because of that stupid $14.95 a night resort fee.
Worst place for me was also Las Vegas Club. Stayed there an unbelievable three times when I was more concerned with a cheap (rather then comfortable) room.

Slow shower drains, strange smells, surly staff, loud air conditioners, the place has it all.

I finally wised up and started staying at places like Golden Gate and Golden Nugget. I'll be at the Plaza on my next trip. When the difference in price per night is less then $30 in some cases, why stay in a rat hole?
Casino Royale's Hotel. Or can that place even be considered a hotel. Horrible experience.
