What's YOUR "Best / Worst Vegas Show" ever ?

Absinthe was my best. Mystere was my favorite Cirque show.
Zumanity was the worst and I didn't like KA very much either.
I am easily amused so I like most shows, particularly if there is a coupon involved.

I have found that the member reviews from LVA are helpful so I have stayed away from those not given favorable reviews.

I did get stuck going to Jubliee; boring would have been a generous compliment
The worst was Penn &Teller

The topless show at Luxor

I was a little shocked by this one on your list. Fantasy is one of my favorite shows. I always recommend it to guys going to Vegas. Its the only topless show in Vegas that I think would still be worth the money if they left their tops on.

But to each his own....

When the audience in the waiting area is about 70% women, you know you are not going to the local strip joint. I saw it over ten years ago. The person who I would have like to seen topless was the female singer. I thought the show was very boring.

Top Few:
Absinthe
Mystere
Mac King

Bottom One:
Zumanity
I won't make recommendations, as some of these are no longer an option.

But IMHO:
Best old guy who still gets it done: Tom Jones
Best evening of pure entertainment: Absinthe
Best production: Elton John, Red Piano
Best transplanted Broadway show: Jersey Boys
Most surprisingly awesome: Manilow
Best standup: Jerry Seinfeld
Best Elvis: Trent Carlini

Biggest mistake: Jon Lovitz

I have only really watched Cirque shows in Vegas aside from concerts.
My top are in order:
Mystere-
O
Love
Ka
My least favorite being Zarkana. Not that it was bad, just that it was meh.....
I did sit 2 rows back from Rodney Carrington at the MGM last year and my gut hurt literally for 3 days because I laughed harder than I ever had in my life.
It’s been a few years now, obviously since he’s been dead for a while but he still holds the record for my worst show ever and that was George Carlin at the MGM. I’m pretty sure they were $80 tickets, pretty expensive in my opinion even back then. I started a thread about it right after I got home and I was surprised how many people agreed with me. He sounded like a very bitter and out-of-touch old man, a couple of people said that MGM had canceled his contract that summer so they speculated that’s why he was so poisonous. I have never walked out of a movie or a show, I always stay till the bitter end but that time we walked out with about 20 minutes left. His opening 10-15 minute monologue was classic Carlin with his brand of observation-ist humor, that was pretty funny but the rest of it went downhill very quickly right after that.

Best – Terry Fator

I saw Carlin over ten years ago at the MGM. He was about to film the same show for HBO. The first bit was about how he picks scabs off his body and saves them. You could have heard crickets in the audience. He told the audience to F off. He then went into a routine about his hatred of cops. There is one guy who gets up and walks out. Carlin blasted him as he was walking out of the theatre. I thought the rest of the show was pretty good. He talked about white guys who shave their heads and try to act black (he called them "wiggers") and he talked about how much he hated people who use their young children to record answering machine recordings.
I've seen 2 different hyptnotist shows.Years ago at the Stardust, and at Planet Hollywood this year. Both were hilarious.
