When In Vegas Would You Rather....

.....play in one hotel/ casino.....or move around to different hotels?

I know when I go to the Silverton, I want to go to other places, but never seem to get there. I'm hooked on playing VP for hours on end until it's time to either go to the bank or go to sleep! In Faye's condition, it's tough to move around without it becoming a hassle. Last trip we were supposed to go to the Trop where we used to play many hours. Trop was the first place I ever got a slot card and got comped rooms.

This last trip Faye was agreeable to staying at the Silverton and then moving to the Trop for a few days. However, when speaking to my host at the Trop, she agreed to give us a suite with an adjoining room for Faye's caregiver, but when it came to FSP and cigarettes, she said it would depend on my "play", even though in an email she said she would "match" anything the Silverton gave us. Now this was coming from a woman that knew what action I (we) gave in the past when she was at the Silverton and when she was at the red rock. I thought that was a slap in the face and we never went to the Trop. And I really wanted to see what the Trop was like, but it was hard to give up what the Silverton offered.

One of these days we are going to try another hotel. Sam's Town keeps giving me generous offers especially since I'm a Gold Card player, but Faye doesn't seem to want to stay there any longer as the suites need a lot of renovation. I don't know why they don't want to improve their suites to accommodate their high rollers. It really wouldn't take much...some new carpeting and paint....and some flat screens to replace the former big screens and Motorola 19" screens in the bedrooms. I get at least one postcard flyer from ST every week trying to get me to come to one kind of tournament or another with nice large first place payouts. well, one of these days.
I went to Sams Town for the first time this Christmas. I have a lot of allergies and the chemicals from their water feature hit me as I walked in the door.
We planned to stay there 2 hours but lasted 5 minutes. Surely they must lose a lot of business beside mine for not keeping the air fresh.
Depends, When i'm with family they usually will just sit in side the Orleans for the whole 2-3 days and gamble, go to a movie, bowling etc. For me when i'm in vegas along or with my girlfriend i will make stops at the Mirage, Casesars and the Bellagio as far as gambling.
I like to play at different places. I am mainly a Boyd guy as I am comped at the Fremont so I give them lots of play.

Normally on a trip we spend one day downtown then a spend a day on Boulder Highway and then one day off strip at Orleans and Gold Coast.

Then spend one day on the strip.

I can stay in my hometown and spend the weekend in front of a VP Machine.
If I am going to invest $1000.00 in travel and 5 hrs min each way just to get there - I wanna go see the sights!

We do casino crawls on the strip. Try to hit as many as we can.
we also like to move around and go in each casino and have a drink and play a few games. If nothing is happening, we move on to the next place. you never know when you are going to get lucky! Last trip, due to health issues, we pretty much stayed at one place and did better than we ever have, but i still like to walk the strip and take in the sights and sounds of Vegas.
We stay at The Orleans (RFB), and give them about 80% of our play.
When on the Strip, we might play at a Harrah's property for less than one hour at best.
We play the MGM/Mirage group (Bellagio mostly) for an hour or two.
We also play at the Gold Coast, because it's on the shuttle route,
it's a Coast/Boyd property like The Orleans, and we also like the machines there.
The last two trips Downtown we played at only two casinos,
Main Street Station, because it's a Coast/Boyd property like The Orleans, and we like the machines there,
and the El Cortez, because we also like the place, their machines, and enjoy eating at Flame.

Too many choices/temptations... got to walk the strip and work those casinos... keep moving.
typical stay is 5 days. Usually stay on strip but not a given. Stay at 2 different hotels but wander the strip gaming at just about all of them on the strip. Rent a car so we have on occasion gone downtown. Once we get there we wonder why we left the strip.
