When Will the Censorship End ?

It's not insanity, just a long overdue amelioration.

Um, because Blackhawks isn't a racial slur.

Right now it isn't, but in the world of PC, it could change at any time

Oh yea, all it will take is one little group to get pissed off about it and if it gains any national attention whatsoever, there'll be petitions, protests ,etc.

Why is there so much confusion in this thread?

The Walmart baker didn't know what an ISIS flag looked like. I don't know what it looks like. Now Walmart knows and they won't be baking any ISIS flag cakes unless they get tricked again. Don't act like Walmart has an official policy against the Confederates but not against ISIS.

The Lord's prayer doesn't belong at a government/state event. Not everyone is a Christian. This has nothing to do with balls but has to do with Constitutional law.

Kid Rock is a private citizen and he can fly the Confederate flag and play the part of a good ol' boy if he wants. He's free to fly the flag and others are free to protest against this choice.

So if the employee doesn't know what the Nazi flag or little KKK figures may look like and proceeds to make a cake, are you saying "no harm and no foul"?

Just like any other offensive symbol, the cake baker will be educated that such symbolism is against Walmart's policy. I'm sure there are many offensive symbols globally that I've never seen so I'd assume the Walmart bakers have never seen them either.

Like this symbol ?

How in the world will those reactions make anything better? I use rt. 1 all the time, live pretty close to it. People around here don't even call it the Jefferson Davis hwy., it's always referred to as rt. 1. I even doubt many people actually know the name of it, I didn't til probably 5 or 8 yrs after I lived here.

It's yet another mountain out of a molehill. All it's doing is trying to erase a historical name. Are we going to rename the George Washington monument because he owned slaves? What about the Jefferson memorial? Would renaming them be long overdue amelioration?

Rememebr, history is only what those in control say it is.

The Ministry of Love, via brainwashing and torture, and the Ministry of Truth, with propaganda, will ensure that the perpetual infallibility of The Party is instilled in the mind of each Citizen.
I'm beginning to understand the counter argument now....

History becomes censored out of existence unless we have monuments/roads/ flags to honor the life and death of people who attacked America. Maybe we should name the new World Trade Center structure the "Bin Laden Memorial center". That way our resident Confederate Flag lovers wont forget about 911.

Write your Congressmen and make it happen

DonDiego agrees; he also does not believe "Blackhawk" is a racial slur.
He supposes that Sturm, Ruger, and Company employ the term to suggest their single-action revolvers are strong and reliable, . . . sorta how Daniel Snyder and all the former owners of the Redskins NFL franchise apply the name to their team, to suggest proficient warriors.

And the term Cowboys suggest uneducated, ill-mannered, horse-mounted persons marginally capable of minding a herd of ignorant ruminants on the way to a slaughterhouse, . . .umm, minus the horses.
