When your objective is to play for "score" or "ranking"

chip, Ive been a 7stars player ever since HET took over Caesars. But even though I have about the same budget each year, last year I had more than 480-thou tier points because I played mostly VP instead of mostly craps as in years before when I would have about 120,000 to 180,000 tier points. My annual loss was about the same each year.

the only difference I think is rating and points assigned to VP vs craps.

As I said, Ive had weekends when I spent 15 hours or more at the craps table only to find out I was rated for just two hours of play.

Yes, you should verify with the floorman how you are rated. But as slapinfunk pointed out-- what is the rating worth in terms of tier points and comps?

Even for 7stars players there is a differerence in what you get when you have 100,000 tier points or 400,000 tier points. while you dont PLAY for comps, you want to be sure that you are getting the proper rating so you are entitled to the comps you should be getting.

edited to add: even if you get free rooms, would it make a difference to you if you got a $2500 shopping spree vs a $1200 shopping spree?
Geezy peezy, what do you want me to tell you? I already stated I do not play for comps but get all I need.
I enjoy gambling and get free rooms, food, limos, etc.
If I am being rated the correct amount than I am getting the comps I deserve.
I do not play slots so that does not come into the equation.
I am not a shopper so I don't really care, but I am sure if my play warranted it, I would be awarded it.

p.s. ???chip??? make me sound like a little boy.
I would rather be called by my full nic, chic or cc anything other than "chip".

lol
Ok, you get all the comps you need. And if you deserve more you don't care if you don't get them? OK. Thats fine by me.
I would suspect the theo on craps and BJ is less than it is on VP. So, for the same amount of play you should expect to get fewer comps. Not sure if anyone knows the real numbers.

This is your philosophical problem, in a nutshell, Money. The casino IS a professional gambler; you are playing AGAINST a professional gambler. So it doesn't matter whether you are one, too.

Are you thick? I said if I was being rated at the correct play than I am getting ALL the comps I deserve.
What is your problem?
"Thats fine by me."
Why are you so condescending? I don't need your approval or your "ok".
Don't tell me how to gamble or use my comps. You don't have a clue how much I gamble or what comps I get.
I may be a $1000/hand player or a $10 one, you have no idea or the right to act like I am doing something wrong.

lol...but he seems to be the only one who does play correct...
just ask him.
Arc, the "theo" has nothing to do with setting the "tier" score with Caesars/Harrahs. In fact, its questionable how the "theo" figures into the "reward points" which is how Caesars/Harrahs figures comps. It is a mystery-- unlike what happens with slots and VP which is clearly spelled out for the most part.

I say "for the most part" because even with the machines (slot and VP) there are "bonus reward points" and the best guesses are that these additional comps reflect time played and denomination.

Table players face all sorts of "unknowns" including how well the floor person rates your play. From the "rules" of the Total Rewards system:

17. Caesars uses reasonable efforts to track a Member’s average bet and length of play; however, as a condition of receiving Reward Credits for table games play, keno, race and sports betting, or other non-slot games, participants agree that such Reward Credits are granted based on the personal observation of Caesars employees, which is subject to error. The determination of Caesars shall be final with respect to any discrepancies.

even if you confirm with the pit critter what your average bet was, and how long you played, even your win and loss, its still a mystery what you will receive for your action on any table game. Hence, my friend on the East Coast who has a "trip budget" of $25K who asks for a way to supplement his craps play to maximize his tier score at the lowest possible "cost."

Just for an example: The basic 7stars player with 100K tier points gets the usual free rooms, annual gift, $500 anniversay dinner, annual trip with airfare, etc. But a 7stars player with 1-million tier points gets a Madi Gras trip and can even ride in the parade, or host a party of 12 and have dinner with Holly Madison. With 200-thou tier points you get basketball tickets, golf lessons from a pro, or special dinner packages for a party of 6.

Chipper, if you are happy with how you are being rated at table games, good for you.

Mrmarcus, WTF are you talking about?
Yes, good for me. Stop being a pompous ass to me.

For someone who has been 7 Stars for so many years, it's amazing to me that you don't know very much.

Bonus reward credits are awarded according to the "hold" on the game/machine (the hold is used to determine theo). Time is also a factor, but denomination, other than the fact that at higher levels you put more coin through, has nothing to do with it. In fact, if you're playing a $5 9/6 Jacks or Better game you will earn NO bonus reward credits (because the hold is very low), but if you play $5 DDB you will earn bonus reward credits. However, if that DDB game is also on a machine that has 9/6 JOB as well, forget about the bonus RC's.

Rincon doesn't seem to give Bonus RC's for any video poker play (which is probably why they have frequent multiplier days).
