When your play is not properly recorded??

This has happened to me many, many times over the years with table play... but it's the first time it ever happened with slot (VP) play.

I had my card properly inserted and more than five hours of play was NOT recorded by the casino's system.

Ironically, it showed on my terminal's screen.

Fortunately, I had the machine # listed on the W2Gs I got during the play, and there are certainly enough witnesses -- and the W2Gs -- to show all of the hours I was there, that the computer system does not recognize.

Actually, a lot is at stake here -- tier score, cash back points, and play towards future comps.

I spoke to my host who said the computer shows I played for 90-minutes. Absurd, I had more than 7 hours of play.

To the casino's credit-- they are "investigating" but I don't know what "investigating" really means.

I've already made 7Stars for the new year, but I would hate to miss on the cash back and future comps from as much play as I did.

Ive played craps for hours and hours and the records showed "zero play" because someone forgot to record the play. I am surprised this could happen with VP.

And like I said, my card not only was properly inserted but the "points" showed on my terminal's screen. Somehow, what happened at the terminal didnt get to the central computer.

Yes, Rincon. The same place with the problem at the progressive.
I am sure a bean counter is behind all of this.
I'm thinking that if they wanted to they could check this with the eye in the sky coverage of your machine, if they save their tapes long enough. If they wanted to...
Thanks Candy. Thats one of the things I told my host... since this all happened this past Saturday night into Sunday morning about 5-am. I spoke with my host earlier today -- Tuesday afternoon -- and said check the tapes.

Plus I was in the high limit area playing the usual machine and the high limit staff sits in the cage just about 30 feet away. And I was the ONLY one on the machines from about 1-AM till 5-AM Sunday except when Slapinfunk joined me for about 45 minutes. According to the computers I stopped playing about 11:30pm Saturday night.

They can do a "point audit." I'm sure they'll find the information to confirm your play, but it may take a couple of days.
Can you explain what a "point audit" is? thanks.
I had this happen to me once at Harrah's Tunica. and it was an 8X multiplier day. before I took my card out of the VP machine it read over 2400 points

When I put my card into the next machine, it only showed the 100 or so points from playing Top Dollar earlier, but later it still only showed 600 or so for the day. And I had lost A LOT of money

I went to the TR dsk to inquire. First I got, 'it takes a couple of days for your 8X multiplier to show up.' Then I got 'Video Poker is $10 per tier credit"when I finally got it through the boothlings head that a machine I had played earlier shower 2400 credits and threfore is was impossible for me to have only earned 600 credits for th day, I got a TR supervisor. who finally got a slot supervisor.

I took the slot supervisor from machine to machine and told her approximately how long I had played, how much I was betting per spin or hand and how much I won or lost.

A few days later, I got full credit for my play. And a day or so after that I had the full 8X multiplier in my rewards credits balance
Isn't it interesting for machine malfunctions (jackpots, player tracking, etc.) that the error seems to go in favor of the house most of the time?

You went the extra mile (or miles) to get satisfaction. I'm guessing most of their guests don't do this and end up getting screwed. The big question is whether they know about this and do nothing or is it a true mistake?
well, that was almost $200 in my comp account, with the multiplier, so I can't see anyone just letting that go
