Where do they get the money?

Either mommy and daddy are really stupid or they are getting money from some other means.....

How often did Clark "afford" $1000 per night trips to the clubs? Those three night weekends can get expensive.

I guess I could have done that, but then I would have never been able to retire.

It never ceases to amaze me when old people instantly go to "their daddy's credit card" when this issue comes up. Even more so when it is coupled with a comment on the current unemployment rate. So a 20-something year old cannot possibly be making enough money to pay for drinks because of the economy, but Daddy can afford to pay for his kid's $25 drinks in this economy. Great logic there.

When I was in my 20's, I could afford night clubs with my own paycheck. But if my dad had offered me his credit card, I would have jumped at the chance.

Where is that $1000 number coming from? A night in a club runs about $300 for me. I used to go weekly.

I don't think that people who spend $1000 a night are really doing so every weekend. It is just excess on vacation.

On my last trip to a casino, at the cage were three young men with ladies standing nearby waiting while the guys conducted their business... taking cash advances on credit cards. Two of the three had their cash advances declined.
I see more broke and down and out in older people in Vegas...
not the younger ones.
Every city has clubs and you will find the young and rich.

It's probably one of the following;

A) PLASTIC, .......... and they will worry about the bill when they get home.

B) They could have hit a few hundred in the casino the night before, and were blowing all the winnings.

C) There are many, many, many people are just $ Filthy $ Flthy $ Rich $, ..... this case maybe Mommy and Daddy.

I do not believe the original post was about "one" individual or I would have disagreed with him, I believe the statement was a bit more general.
I simply stated that I dont believe that there are that many 20 something's with large money that I see being burned thru in Las Vegas when we have 6+% un employment rate!
Lets face it.....the money either comes from a credit cards, daddy's money, illicit dealings (drugs), or in some cases...a good ol fashion pay check (ya right!)........being a betting man and being in the position of evaluating and hiring & firing todays work force I am betting on "it's daddy's money!

You are very ignorant.
There are more people out there with money than we think.

Have you seen the Car auctions on TV...people spending 10 to 100 thousand on cars.....These are not your young people; but they also do not look like the rich corporate types either.

I talked to a group of 5 guys my last time at Cosmo. They were all sharing a room, had drinks in the room and only two of the guys "admitted" to being loaded (financial)....

I met them as I was walking to my room, with a large pizza from the hidden pizza shop....they wanted to know where I bought it...I offered them a slice each....and we talked for a few minutes. One of the guys offered me $50.00 for the food - but i did not take, I just wished them a fun night, we High 5'ed and left.

I wonder if any of them get comped.

Also, I always wondered how people can spend $200.00 on massage, $300.00 on hair etc - when locally my wife gets a massage for $40.00 and hair colored for $100.00
