Where in the World is . . . (was) . . . DonDiego ?

The reader will be happy to learn that teechur and DonDiego have safely returned from a Christmas Season vacation.

But where were they?

Well, there's beaches:

"From the Balcony"

"teechur"

"Another Beach at Dawn"

And there's NFL football:

"Eye in the Sky"

"Enemy Flags"

"Beloved Eagles"

And seafood:

"Betsy the Lobster"

And birds:

"PeckerWood on a Palm Tree"

"Friendly Enemy Personnel"

"Beach Birds" [note (1)]

And sun-bathing:

"Toeses"

"Strong Man"

"Glamour Shot" [note (2)]

And sunsets:

"Sunset at Mile Zero - 01"

"Sunset at Mile Zero - 02"

"Sunset at Mile Zero - 03"

Oh, . . . and on the way home, . . .
Well, DonDiego intends to be good and advises all readers to be likewise.

"Santa and Mrs. Claus Heading North"

Merry Christmas to All . . . ! ! !

Great pics

Blade hopes you two had a great time
Awesome.
I do not know for certain where they vacationed, but I know of only one mile zero. Sadly, the camera did not capture the green flash. I trust they celebrated sunset appropriately.

Had they gone past on a weekend, DonDiego and Teechur could have stopped at Sweatman's, a shrine of barbecue which is not terribly far from the pictured exit.

It's the mustardy kind.

DonDiego has made a note. teechur and he have already discovered that there South-Carolina-mustardy sauce in Walterboro at Duke's; it is excellent. Duke's also has restrictive hours - open for lunch and supper Wednesday thru Saturday and lunch-only on Sunday.

Why yes, . . . MM01 is the end of US1 in Key West, . . . and it is a long way down - pr'bly a once in a lifetime visit. teechur and DonDiego had a very pleasant 3-day stay in some higher-class-than-DonDiego-usually-frequents resorts, . . . apparently a quirk in the calendar led to low-occupancy the mid-week of December.

I know! I know!

Let's see....Miami to watch the Eagles decimate the Dolphins, then a drive down to Key West with family with wonderful stays at fancy resorts (perhaps on Marathon Key and Islamorada Key), with a 2-day ride back to Appalachia country where Mr. & Mrs. Claus were seen enjoying a bike ride on a beautiful day before the "big night".

I just gotta say....that 'bathing suit' was.....um, interesting. Very stylish. Some gal was very lucky to be seen walking the beaches with you!
DD, nice pics! However the last time I have seen a swimsuit that stylish it was being worn by "Curly, Moe and Larry"
Holy Hell !!!

DD & T were treading in my neck of the woods !. I should feel honored.

BTW, that's Betsy the Lobster, parked at MM86, The Treasure Village Shops/Rain Barrel. That poor thing been all over the Overseas Highway.

Thanks for spending those hard earned Appalachia dollars down here. But next time leave the swimsuit home.
