where to find $5 craps in Vegas

Ray, youre a dealer. Whats the difference in tips from a $10 player vs a $25 player? And how do you view $10 players from $25 players? I'd like to get a dealer's point of view who does not work at Caesars. Ive spoken to some of the Caesars dealers.
I've found $5 on weekdays - late morning through late afternoon at MGM, Planet Hollywood and NYNY. Also on weekdays at pretty much any hour at Monte Carlo. Buy in for $200 at the Strat and the dealers really take notice! LOL
Try pretty much anywhere downtown.
El Cortez. After the craps session, you can find a good BJ single deck game.

It's not really a $10 player vs. a $25 player. It's a player vs. player issue. With some people, you couldn't get a buck out of their wallet with a jack hammer. Other people will put you up for a buck or two every point. All I really want is a shot at making a few bucks if someone gets on a really good roll. If the table is beating the crap out of you, I don't look for any tokes.

If I tell a player that an 11 is coming up after a 12 and they bet it and it wins, I expect a tip. If I don't get at least a buck, they don't get reminded next time. You should hear them whine when that 11 hits and I say, '... Always a YO after a 12". "How come you didn't remind us???". I tell them "I guess I forgot (just like you forgot to tip me the last time I told you).

The ones that really get me are the ones that put the shooter up and not me (Unless it's a hot gal and I don't want her leaving the table). It's like a waiter giving you good service and you paying for the people's meal at the other table.

It may be a moot point now anyway. Yesterday might have been my last day at the casino. I'm burning up the rest of my leave time this week and I might tell them Friday. My other business are really starting to take off big time and I'm losing money by going to work everyday.

One other thing. Unless they married some pit bosses butt-ugly daughter, they didn't get their start at a high end casino. They forget that. They think just because they work at one of those places NOW, they are entitled (sp) to that kind of money day in and day out. I had one try to hustle me and they lost any chance for any tips out of me. I let the guy that tapped him out know that I was a dealer and it wasn't cool what he did.
Reminds me of why I haven't played craps in 15 years-the goddamn toke hustlers.

melbedewy are you another of those "never tippers" ??
I'm pretty sure that Sam's Town and the Silverton have $5 craps. Might be off the strip, but they are nice places to play.
the best percentage-win hand of my life came at a $5 table. the "hand" had already started when I bought in for $100 and bet all the numbers across for $32. I missed the chance to bet the passline with odds on that first point. when the seven-out finally game I had a bit more than $3200 in my rail, another 480 on the layout.
I tip the normal people-cocktail girls, bartenders, waitresses, etc.
The only dealers I ever tip are BJ dealers if I get way ahead or if they make a "mistake" paying me on a losing hand or not taking my money on a draw.
