where to find a good room rate for downtown...

I need a room downtown for may 1 and 2, 2015. prefer fremont or cal or 4 queens, but open to any for a good price. ive stayed at fremont and played at fremont but didn't get any good offers from them. stayed a few time at golden gate, no offers, played a lot at the d and no offers, and I know they have my email and snail mail address. ive even used the mrb coupons for hotels but there are none for 2015. (thanks in advance!)
This site used to have a direct link on the LVA homepage. They have lots of discounts, and they show all of the resort fees.

I recommend the Las Vegas Advisor.
I played for an hour at The Downtown Grand and got a one night comp offer.
Played and stayed at The Fremont and the MSS and got a 2 night comp at the MSS,but not The Fremont.
MSS is to my liking,anyway.
The Fremont is too smokey.
They offer room rate discounts, that's it.
MSS is great!
I have casino credit at both properties.(Saves me a trip to the ATM).

The Plaza is not bad. Too bad you did not ask a month ago. They do a Black Friday sale, half price rooms all year long if booked that weekend. Resort fee is $15.00. Not what we want, but if it has to be paid it is more reasonable. Just say Mirage gets $38 for resort fee per night.

NO resort fees.
Easy to get to the FSE through the Cal,over the sky bridge.
Latest room prices around $40. Higher on week ends.Free parking.
Ask for Main St. side room, higher the better.(I-95 can be noisy!)(Trains are, too!)
Get chicken wings inside the 777.
