Where to pee?

Just announced: No change in the law, no Charlotte NBA All-Star Game.

The free market is speaking.
Indy decided many years ago that we have no interest in pursuing an NBA All-Star game. Too many thugs come along to make it worth our while.

Are you kidding me? I thought travel warnings were issued for important type things, you know, terroroist's held areas and such. A travel warning about places one can take a leak!? Gimme a break.

BTW, when certain businesses and celebrity's, like these guys refuse to perform,
"Celebrities including Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr and Pearl Jam have canceled concerts there
in protest."
how is this different from the baker who prefers not to bake a cake for a man and man wedding? Both are refusing to do something because there are personal beliefs involved and they want to hold true to their beliefs. To bring up Jim Crow laws is absurd, so completely different doesn't even make a good joke.

When one group of people wants to hold true to personal feelings (the baker), there is a nationwide uproar, the bakers are chastised, laws are quickly passed actually reaching the supreme court, forcing the person or group to do things against their beliefs. Other groups and co.s' pull out of entire states because it "offends" them (actually, I think it's just maintaining a nice PC image for most of the Co.s. Does anyone really think Immelt gives a flying crap about the issue other than to "conform" to the PC police.

Isn't this what is called hypocrisy? Actually it seems a textbook definition of it. Even in Vegas.

UK issues travel warning for Southern US states

"The U.K. government has updated foreign travel advice, warning British citizens about risks visiting America's Southern states.

Specifically the new advice draws attention to potential difficulties for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.

"The U.S. is an extremely diverse society and attitudes towards LGBT people differ hugely across the country," the U.K. Foreign Office website says.

"LGBT travelers may be affected by legislation passed recently in the states of North Carolina and Mississippi," it said.

North Carolina and Mississippi have introduced laws that negatively affect people in the LGBT community.

The North Carolina "bathroom" law is a statewide policy banning individuals from using public bathrooms that don't correspond to their sex as stated on their birth certificate..."

All in the name of where to pee. Does anyone else see this nation getting weirder and weirder, losing sight of things that are actually important? Things such as 19T in debt, vets and children living in the street, terrorism on a global scale and a hundred others. Here comes a an actual travel warning on beware of places one can pee.

Didn't Vegas bow out of the NBA champ. game due to the amount of thuggery a few years back?
While it's true an NBA All-Star game provides a nice jolt to a local economy -- typically to the tune of $100 million or so -- it's one-time money. The decisions of business such as PayPal, Deusche Bank, to cancel plans for job expansion and the boycott by some tourists will have a great impact on the state.

Let me get this straight, the land of soccer hooligans that kill people, warns against travel based on where they are being allowed to pee. here, here, cheerio!
Edited. Never mind. Not sure why I care.

I agree it is a shame Governor McCrory and the Republican members of the legislature of the great state of North Carolina thought this was such an urgent matter that they had to convene a special session of the legislature at great expense to the North Carolina taxpayers to play restroom cops. The good news is that they are now getting a heaping helping of what they deserve.
