Let me see if I understand Clark correctly. If one is transgender, this person should legally be able to choose either bathroom. If one is not "transgender", then that person is legally limited to only one of the two. I recall a male friend visiting a women's restrooms instead of waiting in line for a men's room, and subsequently being threatened with jail time. Shouldn't my friend have equal rights...........living without any bathroom limitations?
I generally find that such things are about small special interest groups demanding "special rights". Either way, Boiler won't lose any sleep over it.

Transgendered people are people who were born with physical characteristics of the opposite sex as what they feel they are. Transgenedered people can be gay, or straight, or bisexual. Just like non transgendered people.
They are a part of the LGBT community because this is a group that is targeted for hate by homophobics and there is a kinship there. There is a lot of misconception about sexuality out there.
Let's say a college has ten different sports teams. Nine of them are champion teams, but just the football team is the second worst football team in America. Do you think the players would feel more comfortable with the members of the champion teams at their own school, or with the players from the worst football team in America?
People bond with people they have things in common with. Sexual discrimination is a big one.

So you're saying transgendered folks don't want to identify as gay
