Which casino would you prefer to stay in ?

I have received a MLife room offer for 2 free nights, Sun-Thur at the Luxor, New York- New York or the Monte Carlo. I usually do not stay on the strip and have never stayed at any of these casinos. I would like to know from those who have stayed at these casinos which one they prefer. Thanks.
Happy Holidays, Doc! I know you don't care for advice from liberals but here goes:

I've stayed in standard rooms of all three at some point. Some many years ago. Monte Carlo still had tube TV's as of two years ago and shabby interiors....Luxor Pyramid rooms have weird ceilings that you bump your head on....and NYNY has the roller coaster that runs by your window. I don't think room quality is noticeably different between any of them so the question really is which gives you a location you prefer. I'd probably pick NYNY because its easy to hang a right out of the parking lot and grab the highway up to Fremont St where I spend all my time.
I haven't stayed at either of the three.

Monte Carlo is a stop on the tram that goes to City Center, Aria, and Bellagio, so that could be something of interest if you wanted to do some sight seeing in that area of the Strip.
You are not going to stay at any of those options because they charge resort fees, even on comped rooms. Better stay at home. Vegas is a place where people go to have fun. That's not your thing.....

NYNY is the best property and has a decent location.

It is so nice when people on a Vegas message board are so eager to help with Vegas related questions.

I stayed at Mirage for the 1st time in October on a MyVegas free room comp.....it made paying the resort fee less of an issue for me. I liked Mirage quite a bit and it would be my choice moving forward if I had to stay on the strip - I also prefer downtown these days.

Of the three, I would probably choose NY, NY because the "theme" works the best of the three and the restaurant choices are varied and good. This place seems to have the most fun "vibe". It is also in a good location for parking / freeway access and close to some better Blackjack choices at lower limits (Tropicana / Hooters).

Viva!

Says the friggin moron who replies to almost every political topic on a vegas forum. Go jump in a lake!
Here's another helpful contribution from Lurker (since the Doc is probably suffering from Alzheimer):

And since you only got two nights comped at the lower tier MGM properties you will be charged a resort fee for your stay. So Doc, are you going to stay there or not?
years ago, when I stayed at luxor, it was still a nice place. and the tower rooms don't have the slanted ceilings. i like a nice pool area and luxor does have that. if they all 3 have a decent pool area, I would probably stay at the hotel that has been most recently updated. all things equal I would be inclined to try the NYNY. let us know how it turns out Doc.
I stayed at the Monte Carlo a year or so ago. The room was clean and square like all others, but I loved the lay out of the entire complex, it was easy to get to everything and the pool area was very cool especially if you like people watching (hot people) I was treated extremely well by the staff at all times
